As an active Scouting leader it's important for me to address the comments under this amazing display of civic service by Troop 36. First of all, they are doing nothing wrong. The US Flag Code is the only guidance that matters. Everything else is either tradition or opinion. Comments like these are exactly why Scout units do not want to do these ceremonies; because people who know nothing, but are strongly confident in their ignorance, come charging in to berate them. Which brings me to point 2: why do so many people feel like they need to try and beat down these kids who are taking time from their weekend to perform a critical civic duty? Does it really make you feel stronger to ignorantly yell at children? Are you doing it because you feel like you need more attention than they do? Third... Are you volunteering? Are you performing these ceremonies at your VFW or other veterans group? Or are you just yelling from the sidelines like so many love to do. Feel free to volunteer yourself, it's cheap and easy to do so. You have a chance to improve the experience for both yourself and others. Are you even interested in that? Or are you only interested in using the Flag as a means to attack people and groups you don't like? Great job Scouts. Everyone else can sit down and shut up.

The Bear’s fifth and final season will premiere on Thursday, June 25th. At its best, like during Season 2, I put The Bear next to any show. Have I enjoyed the last two seasons as much as the first two? Not necessarily. But I’m going to miss spending time with these characters in Chicago. Chicago is a massive part of this show & a huge reason I’ll always love The Bear.
