Welcome back to @CapitalOneArena and to the @Capitals season opener! Let me start with a major thank you to our fans - I saw hundreds milling around at noon for a 7:30 PM game - outside on the red carpet on F Street. Go Caps! Earlier today, I walked around the arena before tonight's Capitals home opener. Truly amazing progress on the first stage of work to the benefit of our players, coaches and employees. The Capitals locker room and player areas are greatly expanded and are world class. I believe they are now the best in the leagues. Players and staff love it!  What has been accomplished this offseason is epic, and we have already hosted four concerts and two preseason games- and tonight our Capitals regular season home opener. With seven events in the first week since we received our certificate of occupancy to open under our belt, we stand firmly on the beginnings of a breakthrough year.
