I keep seeing and hearing people say that I "copied" @DrDisrespect before I was a Peanut. Let me set the record straight. Was there UI traits to my stream that sometimes LOOKED similar to DrDisRespects UI? Yes. Was there any intent in copying him? No. I was simply "Inspired" by his set up. I took aspects of what he had done and applied it to my own set up and made it my own. I never once copied what he said, or how he did things. When choosing my name from my previous alias, I didn't even want the word "Dr" in my name because I didn't want people accusing me of "copying" him. I wanted a name that would go well with what I intended to do in games, which was to "witness". I tried every aspect of the word "Witness" across social media, and each variation was taken on at least one or two sites. The ONLY variation that WASN'T taken was if you had "Dr" in front of it...So I decided to run with it at the risk of seeming like I was "copying". I never expect to get as big as I did in covid, but it happened. I just wanted it to be known that just because there was the word "Dr" in my name, wasn't because I intended to "copy" or to be known with DrDisRespect. As far as the whole Peanut thing goes, yes obviously I took the idea from @theburntpeanut, but it was only supposed to be for a day or two. It was just supposed to be a bit because I called his friend "boring". But what wound up happening was, I was having a huge blast actually being a peanut. I was laughing to myself about the silly expressions that I was able to do and I was having more fun then I had in YEARS streaming. So, I wound up turning it into a character and making up a backstory of lore on why I'm a peanut long term. Part of the "side effects" are that I say things like "oh dingle" and take on certain "traits" of the Bungulator himself. Back in 2020, I peaked at 1300 viewers on Twitch and was among the top up and coming streamers in the industry. That is until Twitch perma banned me. I lost all my audiences and false stories about WHY I was banned even came out to further hurt my reputation. So yeah, does turning into a peanut seem like I'm piggy backing off of another streamer to gain an advantage? Yea. Do I give a damn what you think? NO. After a BIG Twitch layoff in 2024, I appealed on a whim to get my ban revoked, and to my surprise the NEXT DAY it was accepted. I've worked my ass off since coming back in September to gain the views I have today, and I'm SUPER grateful to all the fans that enjoy my content, and I'm SUPER grateful to the Lord himself, God of heaven and earth, to have another opportunity to preach the word in an online space such as this again. I'll continue to preach Jesus in video games while having fun dominating the competition, and there ain't nothing you can say or do that's gonna stop me. God bless and GOD SPEED!
