This is how you stand up to a fascist White House... “Spanish military bases will not be used for anything that falls outside the agreement with the United States and the United Nations Charter,” stated Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares. Following the announcement, fifteen American aircraft were forced to depart from bases in Rota and Morón, Spain — marking a major diplomatic black eye for the floundering Trump administration. "We demand respect for international law. Violence only brings chaos. De-escalation and dialogue are the path to peace and stability,” Albares wrote on X. Under the United Nations charter, military force may only be carried out by a member nation against another country if it has been authorized by the Security Council or if it's done in self-defense. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also damaged the MAGA narrative earlier today when he claimed that Israel was planning to attack Iran, so the United States joined that attack out of fear that Iranian retaliation against Israel would also target the United States. In other words, Rubio is admitting that America got bullied into a war by our supposed ally — a stark refutation of the idea that this war has anything to do with protecting American lives. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez condemned the attacks on Iran, which have already bombed a girls' school resulting in at least 165 deaths, as “unjustified” and “dangerous military intervention."
