When you look at the change in #mubb's offensive play types this season vs last, it was almost the same foundation (with more cuts and less Pick&Pop) but much worse results.

@EDLAnalytics Thanks man! Applying this method on the team level would be really useful for coaches to tweak their scheme where it’s needed. It would show where they’re vulnerable to high danger passes.
English

@BuckAnalytics Nice work! Looking it on the level of a team or a specific line could lead to some interesting results to value coaches as well

Here is my project for the 2026 HALO Hackathon, where I quantify a defender’s value by estimating the expected goals they prevent through blocking passing and shooting lanes. Give it a read! #HockeyHALO2026

Lead Guards dominate playing time in college basketball. The top Guard plays 79% of the team’s possessions on average while the top Forward and Center play 69% and 42% respectively.
Top Centers show the widest variance as they typically span between 58% and 26% of possessions.

@BartBoiler The team information is the only thing that’s public and we all know it’s not too reliable. Combine is more reliable but we only have that for the elite players and not all D1.
English

@BuckAnalytics Have you delved into what this looks like in regard’s to weight?
Obviously don’t want to use team information but combine data might have some interesting results.

@Deimos272 This was just for college, but it can easily be done at the NBA level too.
English

@BuckAnalytics Is this based on just College Basketball? I think it would be interesting to make this kind of analysis for the NBA. Great work.
