Two weeks later, numerous Puccinia graminis pustules appeared on grasses, each with a distinct appearance. This required the development of a qualitative scoring scale to distinguish between host interactions (susceptibility) and non-host interactions(resistance).

These type of lines carrying Lr34/Yr18 usually have a yield penalty, so I normally cull these lines. Look at how pronounced leaf tip necrosis (LTN) is.
