@thekapman 1. We have an owner who uses the Bulls as passive income. 2. We have a front office who has no clue what it's doing. Tanking is fine if you have competent leaders & a direction. Bulls leaders have no clue what they're doing. Time to abandon this team until the owner sells.

@chibears99 @thekapman Was holding hope that Reinsdorf was in the Epstein files and that scandal would have forced them to sell. What a shame.

@gimmehotsauce21 @Stacey21King @MarkSchanowski @CHSN__ @CHSN_Bulls NBA Lottery is rigged and it was very apparent last lottery when Mavs/Spurs won it. However why should Silver help the Bulls? If Bulls fans are still showing up to games despite them tanking, NBA will see positive revenue numbers & there is no need to help them out. All about $.

@LegionHoops @BrettSiegelNBA I truly believe had Lonzo been healthy his entire career, he'd been an all star. Instead of developing like a normal player, he spent his energy trying to recover from injuries. His body simply failed him. From the day he joined the Lakers, he was always injured. What a shame.

REPORT: Lonzo Ball may never play in the NBA again, per @BrettSiegelNBA “There are concerns among many league personnel that the former second-overall pick may not play again over concerns with his medical records… Nothing is imminent on this front, and Ball will continue to work on strengthening his game and health as he waits for another opportunity. Should he remain unsigned through the remainder of this season and want to continue his playing career, Lonzo may be forced to do so overseas.”

@JoshuaRosen15 @ShamsCharania I make one mistake with my job, I'm fired. AKME make hundreds of mistakes with their job, they get a raise. Make it make sense. It's truly astonishing how Reinsdorf is so bad at running this team. How are these 2 employed? What have they done to deserve to keep their job?

@BullsSource @ShamsCharania All true. But the current front office is the absolute worst we’ve ever had by a wide margin. Which is really saying something.

Multiple sources with knowledge of Thursday's GM meeting as well as a late January Competition Committee meeting told ESPN that the following concepts have been discussed to curb tanking: •First-round picks can be protected only top-4 or top-14+ •Lottery odds freeze at the trade deadline or a later date •No longer allowing a team to pick top 4 in consecutive years and/or after consecutive bottom-3 finishes •Teams can’t pick top-4 the year after making conference finals •Lottery odds allocated based on two-year records •Lottery extended to include all play-in teams •Flatten odds for all lottery teams
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania

Commissioner Adam Silver informed the league's 30 general managers on Thursday that the NBA plans to make anti-tanking rule changes for next season, sources tell ESPN. Stakeholders have intensified dialogue about combatting tanking.

@Rachel__Nichols @TheHerd Allow fans the ability to vote out a bad owner. Bulls ownership for example has owned the team for 40+ years, been scamming the fanbase post MJ era. If this was a normal business, they would've collapsed but in the NBA you can survive even though you're producing a bad product.

Bad teams don’t tank because they are dying to lose for six months straight, alienate fans and create bad habits for their young players. They do it because they have to – the NBA just doesn’t give bad teams a lot of avenues to get better. And a number of the “tanking solutions” that have been proposed would actually make it even HARDER for bad teams to climb out of the bottom of the standings. Flatten the lottery odds? So you’re proposing giving good teams a *better* chance to get the best rookies and bad teams a *worse* chance than they have now? Yeah, that’s bad for the league, bad for fans, bad for players. The NBA needs to focus on creating more pathways to improve, so tanking isn’t the only way - and in my opinion that means holding bad owners accountable too.

@JoshuaRosen15 @ShamsCharania Doesn't really matter. This organization is toast. We have an ownership who has no clue how to win, just using the Bulls as passive income. We blame the front office but it's the ownership that hired them and refuse to cut ties. We'll always have a bad FO under this ownership.

@BullsCentralYT 100% agree. We're a country that awards those who break the rules. NBA is no different. They have been for decades awarding teams that tank which NBA is 100% against. Want to fix the problem? Reward teams that actually try to win. Then everyone will push hard to try to win.

Bulls already down to No. 10 in the tank race. They were No. 13 the day of the trade deadline. No. 10 slot equals = 13.9% chance at top-4, 3% chance at No. 1.

@WaddleandSilvy Most Bulls fans have given up on this team, front office and ownership. People tried to stay loyal, but they’re tired of being taken advantage of. Not just with the Bulls, but with everything these days. Why support something that never delivers & deceives you? Enough is enough.

@TheHoopHerald Billy Donovan not the problem. As always the problem is at the top with the Bulls shareholders and Bulls FO. Hiring a new coach is just another way for them to scam fans into believing there is hope. Sell the team and maybe the fans which once loved the Bulls will comeback.

@BullsNationOZ Bulls have been fortunate to avoid really bad contracts over the years. However looking at all contracts the Bulls signed from the 70s until today, this is now the worst contract to date by the Bulls. We're stuck with Patrick Williams. No team will take on this bad contract.

Sources around the league believe that the Chicago Bulls could be a potential trade destination for Anthony Davis, per @TimBontemps “The Bulls could go in a few directions over the next several months, including adding to the current roster. That has led some sources to speculate whether Chicago, with over $80 million in expiring money, could be a suitor for Dallas' Anthony Davis and bring the Windy City native home. ‘I could see it,’ a West executive, who recently saw Chicago play, said. ‘[Josh] Giddey has worked well with Vucevic, but he could use a roll man to throw it up to.’” (Via espn.com/nba/story/_/id…)
