@Captjdawg @cbefred Make or break year for Rob Dillingham. I think we part ways with him in 2027 if he can't show any sign of improvement.

@BullsSource @cbefred I voted for Rob Dillingham because the rotation for the guard position is very thin. It could also be Dailyn however I think he is someone that might need to prove himself first.

@mobanks10 Well Graham could have taken Labaron Philon at #15. I doubt he has serious interest in Philon. 76ers need a center or future draft capital.

@Doug_Thonus Next offseason should be a good indicator on how good Bryson Graham will be BG was hired 2 months ago. By 2027, this front office should show real progress. If they can't, it's fair to start really criticizing them Overall offseason was underwhelming & Swain pick disappointing

C+ was generous. Caleb - Obvious no credit Swain - Looks like a disaster so far Claxton - Chews up cap room next year, made due to insular thinking Essengue - Already devaluing him as an asset, pissing on stuff you inherited unnecessarily and lowering trade value All other moves - Meaningless in 1 year
Chicago Bulls Central@BullsCentralPod

Haize explains why ESPN’s C+ grade for the Chicago Bulls offseason misses the context of a new front office, a new head coach, Caleb Wilson, Dailyn Swain, Nic Claxton, Norman Powell, and Zach Collins. The Bulls may not be a winning team yet, but Bryson Graham’s first offseason finally gave Chicago direction. #SeeRed

@Abe_OGBullsFan In hindsight, it was a mistake to fire Gar/Pax. They would have never traded for Vucevic, they would have likely taken Haliburton at #4 and they would have re-signed Lauri Markkanen. The rebuild they were doing would have eventually worked. Reinsdorf was holding them back.

@BullsCentralPod Patrick Williams has essentially fallen out of the rotation. Now the 7th big on this roster Caleb Wilson Matas Buzelis Leonard Miller Nic Claxton Jalen Smith Zach Collins All 6 above will play before him.

Patrick Williams may still have supporters in the Bulls fan base, but Haize explains why nothing is guaranteed anymore. With a new coach, new front office, and crowded rotation, Williams must defend, rebound, and shoot consistently to stay in Tiago Splitter’s rotation. #SeeRed

7’6 Tacko Fall was COOKING in Chicago pro runs with Matas Buzelis and Caleb Wilson. 👀 His jump shot might be the ugliest you’ll ever see… but it’s CASH. 😂💰

@mobanks10 Keeping Patrick Williams cost us the use of the #38 pick. Patrick Williams has been regressed past 2 seasons. If he regresses even more this season, then he is no longer even a serviceable player that we can even use. Stretching him & just moving on I agree should be the move.

@ShamsCharania Hawks were gifted the #1 pick and wasted it on Zaccharie Risacher. Could have drafted Alex Sarr or Stephon Castle. They declared he is a bust and moved on. Unless Noa Essengue takes a major leap, Chicago Bulls should move on from him as well either this or next season.

@JWeinbachNBA Brayden Burries was my preferred pick at #9 if in event the Bulls didn't move up in the draft. He'll be solid in the NBA and should have gone higher.

It’s only summer league, but Brayden Burries has outperformed every guard selected ahead of him in the draft. Burries has stood out the most, especially compared to Keaton Wagler, Mikel Brown Jr., Darius Acuff Jr., and Kingston Flemings. The Bucks struck gold with the 10th pick.

@j_wolfe26 What did your board look like 11 through 20? Generally curious. Swain wasn't in any of my targets at #15. The players I truly wanted were all gone before #15. We had no situation like in 2024 when Matas dropped to us in this draft. Thought for sure Morez or Steinbach would.

Dailyn Swain had the worst rookie Summer League performance in Chicago Bulls history. No way he can be that bad right? Had a .636% TS in college. It wasn't just Bulls who wanted Swain. You can clearly see Thunder fans overwhelmingly wanted him at #17: reddit.com/r/Thunder/comm…

@SleeperHornets Said from the start the Bulls should target one of the bigman at #15 which was Morez and Steinbach. Both were gone. After that, the best available were those scoring PGs or Carr. We took none and ended up with Swain.

@TuanShaff @BullsTalkOnly Most Bulls fans didn't like this move. They thought it was a complete overpay to assemble a roster that at best was a 1st or 2nd Rd exit team (ceiling).

@BullsSource @BullsTalkOnly At the time Vuc was a great pick up. We lacked another “star” player next to Lavine. A prime Vuc was the perfect addition because we weren’t gonna get another big who could score like him as efficient as he was. But you’re right he made a LOT of bad decisions.

@PhilipCharlesIV Matas is 21 who was improving as the season progressed. Averaged 20.7 PPG in March. This is a horrible take because players showing signs of improving usually lift off and figure it out in year 3 or year 4.

This is one of the most ridiculous comments I've ever received. The people who believe that basketball development is: Hit the NBA, Average 20 PPG+, Everyone Lives Happily Ever After! Are the most ridiculous and stupid people in the world. Extracting someone's basketball potential isn't an overnight process for many players. Sure, sometimes there are the LeBron James', Cooper Flaggs, and Victor Wembanyama's of the world. But far more often, players bloom after multiple years of competing with the best players in the world, and players with potential figure it out and slowly get better before they eventually take a big jump. Look at the career arcs of guys like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, Paul George, JIMMY BUTLER, Giannis Antetokounmpo, etc... As long as you have the talent, you can become a superstar. It doesn't always happen, but it DOES happen. Anyone who says Matas Buzelis doesn't have that chance isn't paying attention well enough, or they aren't as good with basketball as they believe. Saying Buzelis is Noa Essengue with minutes is one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever heard. Matas Buzelis averaged 18.5 PPG last season after the trade deadline. He was a top 10 shot blocker and one of the best isolation defenders in the entire NBA regardless of position. Folks desperate to blow themselves over their "controversial" opinion and its insane.

@gabrielsmindset 2027 is a weak draft at the top. Lots of role players. Unless we get some late bloomers, this is going to be one of the weaker drafts. Best case scenario is the 2020 Draft Worst case scenario is the 2024 Draft I agree if we can, we should consider moving 27 pick for one in 28.
