Lucky you. After the 2024 Presidential election, which my wife and I both worked on, we both racked up $30K+ in credit card debt. It was essentially a few months of not making the full payment, which we otherwise try to religiously do, combined with a few months of higher expenses. Not even exorbitantly higher expenses... maybe 20ish % than we normally spend. And then high interest does the rest.
