Stream is live
Going live to support @hopefortheday with @loadscreengg on the SUPER-MARIO-A-THON
Stream doesn't end until I beat Super Mario Bros 1/Lost Levels/2/3/World but every $20 chat donates to charity immediately changes the game I'm playing and ALSO every $1,000 raised introduces a brand new MYSTERY GAME that MAY or MAY NOT be Super Mario #ad

English

@Real_LindaLing @Liquidity_47 @CONEY OR maybe people could not post vague ass tweets? just a thought
English

@CONEY I think it’s my 3rd favorite RE2 and RE4 just too good but I might just be a Leon dick rider 😭
English

@gabe_names I loved Grace's long opening bit and Leon's big city bit, but hated all the stuff in the middle and after because it all felt like side content. All the other stuff is just walking down single hallways until the next guy shows up
English

@CONEY No hate, but resident evil doesn’t really ever HAVE a strong story. They’re meant to feel like cheesy B-Grade horror films. The story is definitely lackluster compared to the other ones, but they want this to be the last numbered game so they get more creative freedom next game.
English

@Shikiryu05 @CONEY Why are you pulling the numbers thing like resident evil doesn’t have several soft reboots
English

@starzilla83 damn I thought one of the needle guns said (Grace) on it so I assumed lol
yea that sucks
English

@CONEY You can use the Infinite Ammo cheat but otherwise what you're referring to only applies to Leon's sections, not Grace's
English

@Brianycus that's kinda my point, feels overblown and bloated with history/lore/gameplay from 8 other entries, without any face itself
I've played all of them and all remakes except 5&6, I'm an omega casual tho and don't care about/remember the stories, but love the games themselves
English

Coney, genuine question:
Did you ever play an Resident Evil game besides RE7 and RE8? Because while I agree with some of what you wrote, RE9 delivered a love letter to every fan of the franchise, giving ever nod and Easter egg of both the games and GCI movies.
Coney@CONEY
A great game with too many strains
English

@starzilla83 I thought you could bring better guns on Grace runs using CP to blaze through it faster, is that not the case? If not I agree with you, think I'm done with the game lol
English

@CONEY My issue is that it's awesome on a first playthrough, but the Grace sections are a slog on repeat runs. Compared to RE4Make wherein there's so many options to make runs different and unique, Grace's sections will play out the exact same every time
English

I think it's because the constant swapping in the middle just makes me want more of either game
Grace managing resources on a route across a full house or Leon clearing waves, both of those are great
Grace sneaking around a small 4 room area you will never see again, or Leon sniping from a rooftop for 10 mins, there's no meat there because you CAN'T fail. There's no game tension because I know they're going to be over soon. They're functionally minigames.
English

@bweezybird @Dr_EPIC69 yea, basically RE1/2/3 set the bar for horror but 3 felt like they were running dry, so they pivoted to action
4 was INCREDIBLY good & influential so they stayed there but ran out of juice by 6
7 was a KILLER soft-reboot but now they're stuck between 2 genres they're amazing at
English

@Dr_EPIC69 @CONEY The original re4 revolutionized gaming for games like TLOU to exist
English

@PapaChipMan Absolutely not lol
Story is gonna talk about all kinds of nonsense you won't know, it's extremely simple but rooted in past games
imo start with RE7 or RE2 remake, depending on your taste. REmake is also excellent but not as modern and might bounce you off
