if you didn't know, the main gimmick of the 7th game was that you would change civilizations per new "age". so if, for example if you started as french in antiquity and the age shifts to exploration, you are REQUIRED BY THE GAME MECHANICS to change to another civilization. it was a baffling decision because one of the draws of Civ is bringing your chosen civilization to victory from mud huts to space. glad that they did say "we got it wrong"

@C_Splash3 @semprq What's wrong with a Mega meta? They're unbelievably strong of course but I'd rather try to play around their one allowed nuclear bomb than engage with Tera. I don't get the appeal of Tera at all.

Looking back, tera was a poorly constructed mechanic and created a lot more variance
