Perfectionism often presents as a standard. In practice, it can function as delay. You set the threshold high enough that nothing qualifies. If it's not ready, it doesn't get released. If it's not released, then it can't be judged. Every time you hold something back too long for refinement, you avoid exposure. That removes feedback, which means the work never meets reality. Over time, your progress stalls while the idea stays protected. The issue isn't quality. It's protection. There's a difference improving the work and avoiding it being seen. So the adjustment is to reverse the order. Exposure first, refinement after. Let the work meet reality, then iterate from what actually responds. That's what creates movement. -theflintmind
