This is very important. Please read. As i have also been saying for ages what the SARB does with rates makes no difference to the inflation path. Sky high rates suffocate the economy. Members of MPC are totally clueless and incompetent

What kills me about the "CAs vs. Engineers" debacle is that 0.8% economic growth is coming for all degrees. If we continue at this rate, in 15 years time we're gonna be driving Ubers in other countries saying "I was an engineer back in Africa".

I do agree that financialisation has contributed to the deindustrialisation of our economy. However the determinism around educational backgrounds whilst ignoring the influence of poor governance leading to electricity instability and poor transportation infrastructure is hollow.

The number of young people sitting at home watching their most productive years get stolen by unemployment is so troubling. When the coping mechanisms of sports betting or alcohol begin to dissipate we can going to be left with a huge number of young people with nothing to lose.
