I asked @MassGovernor Maura Healey about her letter she sent to Acting @ICEgov Director Todd Lyons and @DHSgov Sec. Kristi Noem @Sec_Noem “demanding” information on #Massachusetts ICE arrests. I also asked her if she thinks her continued antagonization of #DHS and #ICE leadership will get her anywhere. Healey said her demands are in the interest of “public safety” and “public welfare” and continued to push her claims that the “vast majority” of people arrested or detained by #ICE have “absolutely no criminal charges against them or criminal convictions,” while failing to recognize that being in the country illegally is in itself a crime. #Massachusetts #immigration #ILLEGALimmigrants #ICE #DHS #politics #mapoli
