Very hoppy to make this list.

Weird & Wonderful #C64 Games - No.15 Gribbly’s Day Out An innovative platformer with cute graphics & challenging but addictive gameplay, Gribbly’s Day Out is the game that brought Andrew Braybrook's name to the attention of the C64 scene. A charming & thoroughly enjoyable game.

40 years ago, MSX was unveiled in Europe. A cool idea that never made a significant impact in the territory. Meanwhile, Commodore was hemorrhaging execs. Despite the C64's huge sales momentum, the remaining clowns would drive the company into the ground within a decade.

@JazRignall Siren City on CBM 64 was written in BASIC, I think, because it was a bit slow and jerky, but it wasn't bad at the time - like an early GTA ancestor. Good to see Llamasoft featuring in there.

This 40-year-old PCG chart features sales data from over 100 different shops. And what it shows is that players were well into Ultimate games (great!), but had also been suckered by the very-hyped and pretty terrible Valhalla. One thing's for sure. The Spectrum ruled the roost!

@JazRignall That's a brilliant spectrum list, but the Commodore 64 (my machine) - not so much. It's best days still to come.

CVG's top 10 charts from 40 years ago feature tons of classic games and systems. But this was the lull before the storm. Within a year, most fell away as serious commercial contenders, leaving the Spectrum and C64 (and later the Amstrad) to dominate Europe until the late 80s.

I think I may have outdone myself with the wording on this card.

Legendary designer ☑️ Dull title ☑️ Artwork that looks like it could be from 2004 ☑️ Needless to say this is going right to the top of my most anticipated games list!

@JazRignall Maybe not first I played on ‘a’ 64, but first on mine were International Soccer, Murder (by Rabbit Software?), and China Miner (Ian Gray, I think) - loved the music.

Can you remember the first game you played on this? What was it and when?

v2 of a font I drew (and Krys assembled) for the back of the cards in "A game about drawing creatures, complimenting the drawings, then complimenting the compliments." What do you think?

Game name help! Disappointed to discover that the name 'Per My Last Email' is already in use by another game (a cards against humanity clone). So, I'm open to suggestions for names for my 18-card solo puzzle game about emptying your email inbox. Thank you!

OK, can someone explain to me what on earth "roguelike" means - apparently it's a new buzzword floating around, yet no content creator who states it, has actually explained what it means. . . . .

My current thought about whimsical start player rules: Designers/pubs should keep doing them BUT also (for clarity) include the line, "alternatively, choose randomly." What do you think about whimsical start-player rules?

@PangeaBG @RapsRene I was going to say the Catan world record attempt too, at Essen a few years ago. There was a special board for ever 2 players and you could trade with players at your own board or those players on left and right boards - 5 players. You could also use ships to reach their boards.
