A Golden Bush-Robin briefly visited Chiang Mai Province in February. Of all places, this rare non-breeding migrant chose Thailand's second-highest summit as its winter pit stop. I hiked 7 km (4.3 mi) round-trip to see it, and it was worth every step 😌😅🥰. 📍Doi Pha Hom Pok NP

One of her friends was researching road runners and had an abandoned egg so they kept it in the incubator and the bird hatched and would apparently run up and down the halls of the zoology building 😊

Common Pauraques at Estero Llano Grande SP, Texas, USA (Jan 2026). A target bird on the guided walk, and we found three! They are masters of camouflage. I doubt I would have spotted them on my own. Found from southern Texas through much of Central and South America. #texasbirds
