@JamesTalksSport Aside from the utter bollocks on display there, isn't Gent a beautiful city to be in since they did similar with their roads

@stonojnr @MccaghreyJames Exactly this, his attitude is generally regarded as excellent. In this group that counts for a lot, it's an embarrassment Shelmit had to write that.

@MccaghreyJames He should have been given at least a 5, just for turning up for that morning run organised by the fitness coach, that none of the senior players bothered with

I wonder why Jacks gets a pass for not doing a job properly, while Bashir gets hammered simply due to bad team management. Just don't give him a score, rather simple, did they give fisher one, he was added into the squad.

Velo d'Or tonight. For a piece of pie, there are only two Tour de France winners who did not finish in the top three of the Velo d'Or in the year that they won the Tour. Landis/Pereiro/2006 was one. Who is the other one?

@mgbed @nedboulting It's true - the disparity between the WorldTour teams is shocking. But i tgink the answer is to simplify the kit instead of making it an arms race

@nedboulting Don't agree. Anyone can buy kit, it's a choice. Whether they wish to or not is upto them. You will see more riders in this of very average ability with all the gear. TTs have been like this for years, if you wish to play with the big boys you have to spend big

TNT Sports (UK) has truly been the single-worst way I've followed the Tour de France in the last 10 years. Terrible service. #TDF2025

Onley needs to remember that the first ever British rider to get on the tour podium finished 4th. Tranquilo.

@JamesTalksSport @becgardiner There's little possibility that the director will allow this sort of discussion when they're trying to attract and keep viewers. And here is the problem with the way the media is going - there is increasingly little room for a bit of proper critique

@becgardiner Commentators failure to discuss doping sanely is a problem. I haven't seen or heard anything of them (TNT) talking about Ineos' David Rozman's links to Aderlass.

Does anyone actually enjoy the breakaway coverage? Maybe it’s just me but I find it awfully stale and repetitive? Honest question. Would be interested to hear your thoughts? #TDF2025

One silver lining of ITV losing the Tour rights is not having to listen to the Saint and his disciples so much. One negative is that there's no alternative to Orla and co. spoutung absolute rubbish and having 'banter' (Sean Kelly and select others exempt)

@medicinexthings If we're talking best riders in the world right now, Hirshi absolutely deserves to be on that list. How many riders do you know that won five straight races?
