Under Texas law, courts defer to the internal affairs and rules of private associations and will not substitute the court’s judgment for the association's decision (such as membership revocation, rule-making, or expulsion) unless the association failed to follow its own bylaws or acted in bad faith. So how does Texas Tech get around that? ⬇️

As Big 12 presidents consider sanctions, Texas Tech reps notified the league that any penalty will be met with legal action, sources tell @YahooSports. Tech is exploring legal avenues with noted attorney Jeff Kessler, including seeking a second injunction bit.ly/4v1ghqC

Casey Alexander may return some guys from last season's Kansas State roster: "I'm not closing the door on anyone that is here currently at all. I look forward to having those conversations. If it's the best thing for them and for us, they'll be back."

Sources: Casey Alexander has signed a five-year deal to be the next head coach at Kansas State with an average annual salary of $3.4 million dollars.

Nuanced counter: there’s a meaningful difference between asking Congress for uniform rules in a fractured legal landscape and asking Congress to centralize and redistribute billions in existing private media contracts. Those are not the same kind of “government control.”

@ChristopherIhde I watched Michigan/Duke the other night and both of those teams will beat any of the Big 12 teams right now. Florida, Illinois, Purdue, UConn. There are a lot of good teams.

They are saying that you cannot tank the program into the ground, change your message in the media constantly, go after media members, cross the line on being critical of players and, overall, fail massively at your job. How much K-State have you followed this year before firing that tweet off?

Love him or hate him, Jerome Tang is more than a coach. He's a teacher and a good example for young men. I understand those qualities only go so far in the college ranks because the expectation is that you'll also win games. But I appreciated his message Saturday ⬇️⬇️
