Remember: 1. The oceans are being killed. 2. Forests will soon be gone. 3. Fertile soil is disappearing. 4. Megafauna risk extermination. 5. Insects are vanishing. 6. Climate chaos is inevitable. 7. Extinction is now. 8. Plastic is in our blood. None of this is front page news.

35-37% to be CritE, En, Vuln, NearT species in SSP2-4.5 & SSP5-8.5 futures ('52.1% of reptile species face a heightened extinction risk due to climate change') 'relatively conservative assessment' near-threatened species: substantial increases 2024 mdpi.com/2079-7737/13/6…

proportion of reptiles threatened with extinction ranges from 18.0% (assuming no data-deficient species are threatened) to 32.8% (assuming all data-deficient species are threatened) #ref-CR8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">nature.com/articles/s4158…

At least 21-25% of reptile species risk extinction due mostly to habitat destruction (6% are considered doomed by 2080). With 28% (14–63%!) in decline, how many species are really at risk given new warnings by conservative scientists of 3-5°C global warming by 2100-2150?

Proportion of species at risk of extinction within 4-5 decades: fish ~41-60%; amphibians ~47-50%; insects ~33-40%; reptiles ~25-30% plants ~39-45%; birds ~30-50% mammals ~37-40%

End the denial: global warming is accelerating and we face broadly unsurvivable 2-2.5°C before 2040 #post-heading" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">thebulletin.org/2026/05/sorry-…

Global Warming Is Accelerating: It's not "bad luck" we're in a rapid mass extinction. The scientific consensus? It's the domination of nature & people through capitalism.

capitalism's best-case scenario: habitat & wildlife destruction and pollution ruin conditions that may have limited mass extinction as species suffer 2.18-4.34°C by 2100
