It's kinda sad that Rieko Kodama was not more highly celebrated in the gaming community. She was involved in the development of Phantasy Star, Altered Beast, Alex Kidd in Miracle World and a little game called Sonic the Hedgehog. All the games she was involved in were big reasons for my love of Sega. She is not a well known celebrity in the gaming world and I think that is something that needs to be corrected. She passed away without a mention from Sega until months later. I just felt she deserved better.
