D1 recruiting is more about what type of player you are now & less about what you can develop into. It's less about whether or not you're talented enough to play at their level, and more about if your talents fit their current needs. They have to believe that you can help them win. @coachwes_23 You can’t be in JUCO and not love football. Most accommodations are worse than some high schools and there are super talented D1 and D2 caliber players out there fighting for their life.

Maybe it’s just me, but I automatically think people have a strong misconception about the levels of college football when they refer JUCO as a lower level than D3. JUCO is its own monster and the whole nonchalant “I’ll just go JUCO” thought process is a quick way to for some to have a rude awakening. There’s legitimate NFL talent on some of those rosters. JUCO isn’t a joke. If you’re going to go, you better be about that life.

@ProStarSports A player getting cut doesn’t mean the portal isn’t wildly misused. What really sucks is that a kid like this that needs the portal will get lost in the sauce because of the volume of portal players.
