Human beings are incredible. 🔥

This drawing was made to serve as a lasting reminder of sacrifice, commitment and relentless dedication to WVU Football @wvufootball. A reflection of blood, sweat and pride carried on and off the field - a tribute to what it truly means to put it all on the line! @wvufootball The collector saw one of my previous hand drawings, "the maker's pause" and fell in love with the use of colours, which were identical to the WVU colours. Made with Soft Pastels, Charcoal and Acrylics on Archival Paper. 30x37 inches #art #ayodraws #ayofilade

@coachkou I gotta check this out. They were a ton of fun to watch. Always had the right answers @ the right times to create explosive plays.

New article is up featuring the Jamey Caldwell Coastal offense! Going back and revisiting one of the best offenses in college football history! Great scheme that incorporates gap schemes, the triple option and various rpo and play action components!! See my site for the new freeze option article! Unbalanced back to the 3 man surface side! Visit my substack and see the new post!!

@PaceNSpace2 @ChalkLast0712 Tend to agree from a systematic stand point… Scripting the first series or so to get a glimpse of the defensive looks that we’ll see against various formations. The use IF/Then charts to respond to individual issues

For sure. My stance on this has evolved from watching Leach, Single Wing, flexbone, etc. (in only a handful of formations) This presents predictable looks because if they don’t align defensively to take away their bread & butter, then they do x,y,z to exploit this. Becomes very systematic…

The more and more I study how defenses are defending certain formations & formational adjustments, the more I agree with this. If you use a bunch of formations, you have to adequately practice all the variable defensive alignments to allow your players confidence in what they are seeing. I think this is especially true with formations which can muddy up the box. If the box keeps changing, the OL gets less consistent looks.

A common phrase is formations are cheap, plays are expensive. I think formations can cloudy up plays. The more formations you use for the same play, the more defenses your players have to figure out. By limiting the formations for a play you clear up the pictures on that play
