@CodingExon Great to hear I managed to _nerd snipe_ you on this :) One of the more visible outcomes here is that (most of) the animations created by View Transitions are no longer subject to jank. E.g. cdpn.io/pen/debug/MYgN… just keeps playing in Chrome 144+ while the main thread is busy.

🤩 There’s a very – VERY! – exciting animations/performance change available in Chrome: When their values don't change throughout the animation, CSS `width`/`height` animations can run on the Compositor, instead of being forced to run on the Main Thread. bram.us/2025/11/13/ani…

@votermapsorg hi! I work on Firefox, and we got a report that your map is broken in Firefox (because it's accidentally depending on an ancient Chrome/Safari bug). @Caltrain hi! Website bug for you: schedule is quite hard to read (white text on light gray) with the site's dark theme (activated via user dark-theme-preference in e.g. Android system settings, or browser settings). Issue reproduces in Firefox and Chrome on Android (at least)

PSA: Chrome 123 (out later this week) and Safari 17.4 support `align-content` combined with `display: block` (as per CSS specification) This might cause a visual regression if you assumed the former wouldn't have any effect. See developer.chrome.com/blog/align-con… for more details.

Hey, fellow @Firefox users on Ubuntu/Snap - did your Firefox break after yesterday's update? I'm getting white screen with spinning timeout graphic when loading Google Calendar, Youtube, Tumblr, Google Drive and many other sites. HATE having to fall back to Chrome.
