We need recession breaking policies to produce more at home. Try grants to farmers to grow food, not grants to stop them. Get out more of our own oil and gas instead of importing so much. Help rebuild our fishing fleets. Speed up small nuclear generators.

@johnredwood There is a massive shortage of nursing staff and more are leaving the profession every day. The only way to correct this position is to increase their pay. Contrast this with other striking unions who have no staff shortages.

The current nurses strike is nothing like the miners strike against Mrs Thatcher. Mrs Thatcher always gave more money to the NHS and employed managers who got on with the nurses.
