Brad Pitt earns $20 million per picture, but he can enhance his income to $30 million for high-profile movies, such as this one. Furthermore, period pieces are costly when costumes and cars are included in, not to mention Fincher's penchant for cutting-edge CGI, which costs thousands per shot.

@bestofstarwar I watched it at midnight on release day in 1999,overall had weird feelings I'd never had before with a Star Wars film-confusion and mild disappointment.However,I'd no issues with the action scenes,the podrace was (at the time) the best special effects I'd ever seen.

Lesbianism wasn’t illegal bc sex was defined by intercourse, so at the end of the day any obstacles they face would’ve been there 20yrs ago too

@FantasyGalaxies This is 17 seconds out of an incredibly lengthy and increasingly absurd/gimmicky dance fight scene where they keep on going even as the structures and landscapes become ever more hostile.
