@ColinBest1978 @alicentsluvr I’ve no idea what they’ll do but it would be a plausible ending- very easy for them to hide in plain sight since they both have a reason to live on the estate- Francesca as his widow and Michaela as his heir. People would expect them to support each other. No one would question.

@ColinBest1978 @alicentsluvr Francesca is the ONE introverted sibling who abhors a crowd and was extremely happy to run away to a castle in the middle of the Scottish wilderness where she didn’t have to talk to anyone. Living there in quiet solitude with Michaela is not a sad ending for her.

@moniza_hossain And to add another layer, they have different accents when they speak English! At least French people do, idk enough about the others. But the guttural/nasal QC/FR divide really translates into their English pronunciation.

I love how there are people only just discovering you can have different accents while speaking languages other than English. People in Quebec speak French with a different accent from France. People in Singapore speak Chinese with a different accent from China.

At Ripley’s yearly checkup he had gained some weight- possibly due to having fewer stairs in this flat, possibly due to treats over Christmas- so we’ve been talking about how to get a lazy tripod who doesn’t care for toys to exercise more.

@meridiansour Yeah just the one flight lol. We pondered a wheel but I don’t think he’d be stable enough on it (the stairs have thick grippy carpet and are shaped better for a tripod’s gait).

@splendourella oh poor Ripley, is it just the one flight of stairs now? i got one of those running wheels when Othello got overweight, he never used it, but he also lost it somehow without other interventions.

@katiegeeks He screams for food anyway, we figured we may as well make him work for it 😆

He does this thing where he “announces” himself any time he goes up or down stairs, and the lack of hind leg means it’s easier for him to do it at a run, so he’s just scream-running up and down. It was too funny, we were falling over laughing 😭 Totally worked, though! Success.
