Everything you need to know about Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) Physical Disability Rugby League is an inclusive, adapted version of rugby league where people of all abilities can play together safely. In PDRL rules: - Players with fewer physical disabilities (often in normal shorts) play full contact, just like traditional rugby league. - Players with more significant disabilities (often in red shorts) play touch/tag, so contact is controlled and safe. - Teams are mixed-ability, meaning everyone contributes and plays to their strengths. ✅ Why it’s perfect for people living with a stoma: - Rules are adapted to minimise risk of injury, keeping stomas safe. - Encourages fitness, confidence, and teamwork. - Focuses on what you can do, not what you can’t. - A great way to meet people and stay active in a supportive environment.
