Denise and I were saddened to learn of the passing of Delegate Larry Kump, a devoted public servant who dedicated many years of his life to improving West Virginia.  Delegate Kump served with a deep commitment to the principles he believed would strengthen our communities and protect our freedoms. On behalf of the First Lady and myself, we extend our condolences to Larry’s family, friends, former colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him. His legacy of service and his love for our state will never be forgotten.

Hope accounts for just 0.6% of total K–12 spending in West Virginia. The vast majority of education funding remains in public schools.

Nearly 8,000 Hope families who have already submitted applications for next school year don’t even know what they’ve signed up for now that the Legislature is trying to put caps on the program. This is bad timing as we near open enrollment on March 2 for all school age children.

I have long championed election integrity, and as such I am proud to join @SenMikeLee and my Senate Republican colleagues in cosponsoring the SAVE Act to ensure only U.S. citizens vote in federal elections. Election integrity and security are critical to ensuring free and fair elections.

I’ve never seen nativism so intense as from West Virginia leftists. You can live in the state for decades, choose to build a life and raise your kids here, and they’ll still shriek that you’re from another state.

I am outraged and furious over the news of two West Virginia National Guardsmen who were shot in Washington DC as confirmed by Governor Patrick Morrisey. These brave men and women put their lives on the line to protect Americans from violence in American cities and may have lost their lives in doing so. This is gut wrenching. Please pray for their families, for West Virginia, and our country.

Coming out of retirement just for this. Not sure why Tom S. Witt, Ph.D. would delete his post but I thought everyone should see what he posted. Anyone have thoughts about this?

The left is already trying to downplay this but the reality is sobering: Charlie Kirk was murdered by somebody who thought he was "full of hate." He had bullet casings that said "catch this, fascist" on them. This was an act of left-wing terrorism committed by a sick person radicalized by a decade of endless demonization of President Trump and his supporters from the entire Democratic Party.

If an outsider knew nothing about left or right except how they react to the tragic deaths of their political opponents, it’d be crystal clear in seconds which side is the moral one and which side is pure, deranged evil.
