Rural areas elsewhere, like the Midwest, are more likely to care about things like racial purity in 2026 than a rural-adjacent Southern county.

@Gwydion_Wolf And again, I kinda fail to see how it’s largely different for the average small town for PV vs. EC? I agree neither system is perfect in the sense of prioritizing rural voters, but a rural voter in a non-swing state isn’t going to be prioritized in our current system.

@Gwydion_Wolf So, it follows they would try and drive turnout more in suburban and rural areas, especially because these areas tend to skew older in population and are thus more reliable voters based on turnout statistics. Again, a substantial amount of the electorate is still rural.
