@ParkerOrtolani This is also why I always do trade-ins in person, I've never not gotten full trade in value
English

@ParkerOrtolani Last one I got was when the scan of my 16 Pro Max caught the chip in the titanium, but the worker "couldn't see it" so they gave me an override for the full trade in value
Best day
English

@ParkerOrtolani It's a requirement: you walk out of the Apple Store with the new Mac, and you immediately have to go to a coffee shop

@mweinbach I don't dislike the UI directions here, I think it looks nice, and I'm interested to see where it goes
But there's a lot to be said about the utility of the VSCode fork
English

@mweinbach Backend, frontend, agent, plan/browser/file, dual terminals, GitHub/Sweetpad/Figma/etc. extensions
The Codex-style editor can't do this at this point
And if it did...there wouldn't be a whole ton of reason to go that route instead of refreshing the UI of the VSCode fork

@BrandonWaselnuk I’ve been yelled at by enough product teams to always make sure I’m getting their arbitrary capitalization correct

The winning strategy to get anyone who’s ever worked at GitHub to expose themselves “Github” (even my iPhone tried to correct that)

@AnthropicAI it's a capital H in @github.

Idk what improvements have been made to it, but the way @diabrowser writes is the best I've used as of late
I think it strikes a great balance between being serious and getting the joke
Where ChatGPT is trying too hard to be friendly and Claude is just matter–of–fact it's a great balance
I really need Dia mobile so I can have it everywhere

@zollotech This is so valid, I curse every day I spend working on a Windows computer

Hell ya
We need more low-volume ultra premium stuff on the market. I hope we see it on the iPhone, Mac, etc.
Something should be accessible to everyone, but there's also an itch for just more which the more accessible pro devices haven't scratched recently

Apple will reportedly launch a 'MacBook Ultra' this year featuring an OLED display, touchscreen, and a higher price 🚨 Source: @markgurman

@mweinbach Also "plugging things in" outside of a charger and maybe a display are, quite honestly, assuming more than this is really designed for
Like maybe a thumb drive
The kind of person to plug in 2–3 high res/refresh displays or a dock would be better served with Air/Pro than Neo
English

A18 Pro likely has a single USB 3.0 controller because… that makes sense
That would explain why it’s limited to a single port. I don’t think this will be a huge deal, but may be confusing if you plug a display into the USB 2 port.
I’m sure there’s a pop up letting you know
Jeff Geerling@geerlingguy
MacBook Neo looks like a great low-spec Mac—but limitations abound. Most egregious is the two USB-C ports, as reported by MacRumors, are USB 3.0 (10 Gbps), and USB 2.0 (480 Mbps). Both support charging, but only the USB 3.0 port supports DisplayPort! macrumors.com/2026/03/04/mac…

@ParkerOrtolani I was just thinking this, it's a killer combo for the price of a Pro iPhone
