@TylerCLaRocca @SulligentHUB What would YOU consider a great season then? Answer your own question.
English

@CourseKon32147 @SulligentHUB He wasn’t in that convo in any of the past two years lmao
English

If/When Brock has a great season, I'm going to be insufferable to Tyler.
Tyler LaRocca@TylerCLaRocca
English

@TylerCLaRocca @SulligentHUB If he is in MVP consideration, I think that would qualify. Maybe top 10 MVP odds?
English

@SulligentHUB What do you consider a great season?? Either seasons he’s had the last two years..?
English

@KurtBenkert @InvictusTeaches Are there a few stats that you feel exemplify excellent QB play?
English

@InvictusTeaches Agreed but I don’t like the framing of “worst QBs based on EPA” when EPA is contextually all about the whole offensive unit.
It’s not a qb stat
English

I like your findings a ton but I hate EPA. It doesn’t tell the right story. Theres no context to play-calling, film, miscues, protection, anything.
EPA isn’t a QB stat it’s an offensive unit stat.
Warren Sharp@SharpFootball
the 10 WORST QBs inside the red zone last year a wild list I would not have expected 1. Lamar Jackson (-0.53) 2. Jaxson Dart (-0.23) 3. Trevor Lawrence (-0.18) 4. Joe Burrow (-0.15) 5. Sam Darnold (-0.15) 6. Patrick Mahomes (-0.13) 7. Dak Prescott (-0.11) 8. Caleb Williams (-0.10) 9. Spencer Rattler (-0.10) 10. Justin Herbert (-0.09) *2025 reg season based on EPA/pass attempt
English

@TrolliethaPolie @SharpFootball Conversion rate matters, not the counts. If Herbert converted 30 out 1000, then that 30 isn't a good look.
English

@CourseKon32147 @49erstakes @AJGullotta I couldn’t care any less about draft status. The guy turns the ball over way too much to be top 5
English

Mina Kimes and Ben Solak did their QB rankings and have Brock Purdy ranked 15th
Pat Mahomes
Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
Joe Burrow
Drake Maye
Justin Herbert
Dak Prescott
Caleb Williams
Jordan Love
Jayden Daniels
Matt Stafford
CJ Stroud
Trevor Lawrence
Jared Goff
Brock Purdy
“I think I’ve seen enough from Brock Purdy where even without Kyle Shanahan, as much as he benefits from him, I still think you’re gonna get good quarterback play. I really do.”
— Mina
English

@Coach_Yac @49erstakes @AJGullotta He has turned the ball over more often the last 2 years. The pressure has been on Purdy to score given how bad the defense has been during that stretch. That's a reality. Is he too aggressive at times? Ya, but 8-12 in the ranking? His production proves otherwise.
English

@Coach_Yac @AJGullotta If Purdy was taken where Lance was taken (3rd overall), there is no effing way you rank him between 8-12. He would be top 5 given is production statically and his ability to win big games. That is the truth. Just call it for what it is.
English

@AJGullotta I have Purdy in the 8-12 range and have been in that area for years
English

@minakimes @BenjaminSolak If Purdy was not a 7th Rnd pick, there is no effing way you would rank him 15th given his production. If you point to the coach, then why isn't Mahomes dinged for having Reid? Or Caleb having Johnson? Every other QB gets a boost for having a good coach, but Purdy gets dinged. 🙃

English

Last season, Jordan Love ranked…
2nd in EPA/db
3rd in QBR overall
2nd in QBR on 3rd down
3rd in DVOA
Very clearly a top ten QB. Discussed with @BenjaminSolak on the pod.
English

@minakimes @BenjaminSolak The double standard for Purdy is always hilariously predictable.
English

New pod! Drafting 32 QBs with @BenjaminSolak
Surely everyone will be satisfied with these rankings

@skyeluque @GOLF_com And everyone but the rich will be priced out of playing it.

Big changes are coming to East Potomac Golf Links, a Washington, D.C., muni that is more than 100 years old.
On Friday, the Trump administration announced it will move forward with plans to convert the beloved property — which houses 36 holes — into a championship-style, 18-hole facility capable of hosting majors and the Ryder Cup. Some locals and preservationists, though, worry that the administration’s vision will rob the property of its populist appeal, along with other activities it offers such as walking trails, picnicking and fishing.
Lorenza “Country” Robinson has been working at East Potomac for 16 years. When he started there, he cleaned carts and took out the trash; now he’s the operations manager.
“You might have nothing in your pocket — that don’t matter here,” Country says. “It’s all about enjoying your experience, and we’re going to make sure you enjoy your experience.”
English

@GeoffKreiss @GOLF_com It’s a muni and meant to be affordable to the public.
English

@GOLF_com Played and practiced here many times. The property is elite and we shouldn’t allow complacency to corrupt its potential. Allow access to everyone like Beth page, but it shouldn’t exist in current form. It’s a dogtrack. Regardless of your political persuasion, just let it evolve.
English

@RobbyBerger I like to think of falling away from the ball in my downswing. I am falling away from the ball and my ass initiates that movement so that I end on my heels. It’s improved my ball striking drastically.
English

Quarterbacks have to watch so much film that they know the answers before the snap.
That’s the difference.
Everybody loves the throw.
Nobody talks about the hours.
A real QB doesn’t just line up and hope.
He already knows:
•the front
•the coverage
•the pressure
•the leverage
•the protection
•the answer
If you’re figuring it out after the snap, you’re already beat.
Anybody can throw it.
Very few can process it.
English

@Graham_SFN Not even the same caliber of throw, purdys throw ain’t special 70% of nfl QBs can make that throw. Give it up and stop trying to justify that Purdy is a good Qb😭
English

How about you watch some Brock Purdy, bucko
JetPack Galileo@JetPackGalileo
with all due respect, Purdy not fitting this in

@sportslarryk I hate this narrative that Eddie would have done better than Jed. Eddie had free reign before a salary cap. I feel like Jed has been a really good owner. It could be a lot worse. Ask Cardinals, Browns, Bengals, and Jets fans.
English

“I wouldn’t” is the #49ers quote of the year.
Beyond the players and coaches, beyond the game plans and schemes, there has to be a driving force. Eddie was that driving force and they miss him badly. The 49ers need that element. I wish Jed would adopt that Eddie D, “this is absolutely getting done” determined mindset. It’s the necessary ingredient to winning Super Bowls. Jed, don’t be so nice and accommodating, instead crack some skulls, hold people accountable to high standards and let’s get this thing done! I miss Eddie’s passion!
