Untrue. Nyara and Ana Valens never ran any sponsor attack or cancellation campaign against Kirsche. That's a fabricated smear that's been recycled endlessly by people who hate them. I asked them both about their past and most of it was she ever did was push back on creators spreading blatant transphobic talking points and misinformation. Their was no mass DMs to brands, no coordinated "get her dropped" pressure, no cheering on life ruination via sponsors. Zero evidence of that ever happening. Ana Valens wrote articles critiquing views in the VTuber space which including ones mentioning Kirsche's takes, but those were opinion pieces or reporting not a direct sponsor harassment campaigns. Kirsche even got Vice articles taken down after pushing back, which shows the claims were overblown smears from the start.

The whole plot about Paul using the Fremen just didn't come across for me. Granted I haven't read the books but it seemed to be they were incredibly enthusiastic about him leading them in a conflict they were already in and he kept saying he didn't want it. He had to be dragged into being a leader every step of the way by everyone else around him but he somehow gets branded the manipulative user. He wanted the Fremen to just stay as they are and live with them and they were like nah bro you're totally the messiah, lead us in a holy war. If anything it seems like literally everyone else around him was using him to advance their own goals. They would have gone extinct without him anyway. Not like he showed up and tricked them into war that wasn't theirs, they were already in one where the end goal had to be total galactic victory or total extinction because they were never going to be left alone. If anything they lucked out by grabbing the psychic chosen one on their side and ran with it at the first opportunity to take revenge on the galaxy for abusing their planet. Instead of their leader putting the idea in their heads of destroying the harkonen and defending their planet from the houses, constantly pushing them into situations they didn't want through manipulation and cold greed, it just seems like they found an emperor that enabled what they already wanted to become a reality. Maybe they sold it better in the books but dragging a guy who wants to be left alone into a room, shoving a gun in his hand whilst he says he doesn't want to shoot anyone and telling him to pull the trigger or his friends and family will suffer doesn't translate to manipulative, power mad tyrant who stole the Fremans innocent lives from them and destroyed their culture. Maybe it'll be made that way in this third film but everything up to it didn't sell this idea or his character as some manipulative dictator moving his chess pieces. All he had to do to win them over in the end is basically just say what the Fremen already wanted to hear.

As someone who was screamed at every day and beat up by their spouse(f) (now ex) in front of their child for years, this pisses me off. Can you imagine if she was a man? The only plea deal she would have been given would be 5 years in prison. That's how it should be, man or woman.

as someone who has actively kept up with this show and all the people in it since it first aired years ago, this is really heartbreaking to see. since some people aren’t aware though, and i have seen some misinformation, they have been fairly open about this incident occurring for years (but this video was not available to view until recently). i have seen people saying she needs jail time, taylor actually already had charges pressed back then for this specific incident and she did plead guilty. ill explain some of that below to the best of my ability, but she has openly admitted that she was the aggressor towards Dakota (her ex) on past interviews about this incident. (all of this is to the best of my knowledge based on public reports) in 2023 she was arrested and charged with: - aggravated assault (third-degree felony) - two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child (third-degree felonies) - child abuse (class A misdemeanor) - criminal mischief (class B misdemeanor) these were all from the altercation above and charges were pressed by authorities after investigation. - in august 2023 taylor entered a plea in abeyance to the aggravated assault charge (a third-degree felony). this is a form of guilty plea where the charge is held in abeyance (on hold) for a set period, in this case, 36 months (3 years) of supervised probation. if she complies with all terms (no new violations of law, etc.), the felony would be reduced to a class A misdemeanor at the end of the term (around august 2026). the other four charges were dismissed with prejudice. - she served one day in jail initially and was on probation at the time of recent events (including the resurfaced video leading to her bachelorette season cancellation in march 2026). prosecutors have since been reviewing whether newer allegations (from a february 2026 incident) violate her probation terms. it is a work in progress. pray for this family, especially for the children involved. these children and this family will never be the same after all of this.

What you're describing I think is the concept of being unable to form memories when going thru trauma. You need a pro to help w/that

@CptTopper @endofanerajc I don't know if I have aphantasia. Does it cause memory problems? I can only remember certain events from my childhood (often prompted by photos). When a health professional asks me when my son started walking or how many absences he's had in the last month, I honestly don't know

@CptTopper @endofanerajc It was a really upsetting day to realize when people said 'image you are sitting on a beach' were not being theoretical but being serious. The whole discourse of it becoming semi mainstream is more so annoying to me because of the amount of people who think it isn't real.

i’m so sorry you deal with that. tbh a lot of disorders don’t sound too bad on paper and because of misunderstanding about just how debilitating living with these things can be. i suffered from near-psychosis level ocd and people would just think i liked my room clean. i hope you have supports and resources
