@shardofstar @KeruboSk Sure, unfortunately the best method is severe punishment of those caught guilty. We can make streets safer.

@Crazizzle @KeruboSk yeah but people do adhere to safety procedures and still get drugged. It's more like walking down the street and some random decides to jump you for no reason.

I love this one: a girl gets admitted to the hospital with opioid poisoning after some men spiked her drink. Doctor: “Girls, don’t accept cocktails from strangers.” Oh word? How about: men, don’t put drugs in women’s drinks. Because why is the safety advice always a curfew for women instead of a commandment for men? “Don’t go out.” “Don’t drink that.” “Don’t trust them.” Or… hear me out… Don’t drug people. The bar is in he!l and somehow y’all still tripping over it

@Gryffix Socially, it is a more feminine interest, though. And that's why it's the barometer; it's seen as silly nonsense girl thing that men generally don't take seriously, but if you can't get over yourself as a man to at least feign interest, it makes you look selfish.

I don't get this. You can just... Not be into astrology? This isn't any different from quizzing a date about moonlanding conspiracies and writing him off if he's not into it, lmao. I wish women stopped insisting astrology is something inherently tied to femininity.

this is exactly what she means, babe. if you aren't a fun and cool enough person to have a silly conversation or talk about something that isn't your absolute favorite topic without suddenly talking like a reddit mod who has let his power go to his head, you're a bad date.

@kohanesex It does seem jp jump racing is a bit safer, with less harmful obstacles. But Yeah, it's not my favorite thing. I do wish there was a way to honor the best ones tho. In the movie, Jungle Pocket was listed as coming from.. what was it, street racing? There are ways.

with this incident in mind, I don't think there will ever be jump/hurdle racing in Umamusume Cygames' plans to add jump racing should be scrapped if not burnt to the ground, this kind of racing is so unsafe Japan was so lucky their legends Oju Chosan & Nishino Daisy retired alive

The horse Gold Dancer tragically died after winning a race today, breaking his back on the last hurdle and crossing the finish line before collapsing. He died just minutes later. The jockey is now under fire for pushing Gold Dancer far beyond his physical limit.

I'm comparing toxic children to toxic dogs. BECAUSE maybe that situation will make YOU understand that a whole lot of people don't want that in their lives. So if he's making that choice then he's going to be a single dad-- and it sounds like YOU need to be a single dad of drug addict children too

@JadedCourtz I actually do respect that, if you're pulling an athlete or a rock star. Play on. But girls who rack up high counts aren't doing that. A lot of bums they'd never consider dating. I don't respect that, like I wouldn't respect guys getting with easy prey.

@weirdbeingg So having the delinquent or fashionista having dyed hair makes sense, a nerdy guy having normal black hair makes sense. They don't want to stand out. The better argument is too much shy lonely guy gets girls content, but people exaggerate that too.

@weirdbeingg One thing is, in some shows it might seem weird. But in that gyaru show, the girl has wild hair because she's gyaru. The rest look pretty normal Japanese, and almost all Japanese have black hair unless dyed(which is actually frowned upon in japan schools usually).

Men often underestimate the complexity of female psychology. She can want to be wanted, taken, even objectified and still reject being sexualized without emotional safety. If that confuses you, you’re reading her too literally. A woman can crave desire from the man she’s attracted to and still need to feel safe, respected and emotionally held. These aren’t contradictions. They’re context dependent responses. If you don’t understand that, you’ll keep making a Type II error (missing what’s actually there) and not even know it. This is where a lot of high performing men get it wrong. They read her response at face value, instead of understanding the context driving it. Desire without safety repels her. Safety without desire bores her. And you need both—calibrated. That’s a skill you can develop.

@KeruboSk If I get beat up because I walk into a bad neighborhood at night, people will naturally say "hey, that was a bad idea. Let's learn a lesson and avoid this because it's dangerous". That wouldn't mean it's my fault or I'm being blamed. People need to know safety procedures.

Tragic and horrific are the only words for it. Jockey should have the book thrown at him and then some, a horse breaking its back does not “feel fine”, yet he was ridden out. The movement of the horse clearly changed— as a rider, you feel even the slightest things. Despicable
Racing Post@RacingPost

Gigginstown's Eddie O’Leary has confirmed the worst following Gold Dancer's victory in the Mildmay Novices' Chase 🗣️ "He’s been put down. He broke his back. It’s terribly sad for the horse. What could Paul Townend do? He felt fine, it was just when he pulled up that something was wrong."

@Sub_7ch As a guy, I prefer seeing a woman being her real self with her real emotions rather than the version of herself she makes through planned, edited photos . Seeing that cute silly face is seeing reality. So much of what we see from women is manufactured to look a certain way

@cactusncookies Not with a dentist though . But with a doctor, I could see wanting a safe way to ask the kid if there's anything suspicious. That's the best reasoning I can come up with.

@cactusncookies Wow. As much as evil exists, it's always so shocking how someone can get away with it like this. I definitely understand your feelings. I think one thing is wanting to create a safe zone FROM parents, in case of abuse, so I wonder if that's their reasoning? Just a theory.

I remember when my little girl was about 7 years old we took her to a new dentist & they told us we weren’t allowed back in the room with her. I asked them why in the world wouldn’t I be allowed to come back with my small child? They said they just didn’t have much room in the exam rooms so I offered to just stand right at the doorway which they said no to. I said to cancel the appointment then & they shamed me loudly in the waiting room saying how this was *highly unusual* for someone to refuse the appointment. I didn’t care. How any parent would allow this risk with a small child is beyond me. I just knew it wasn’t happening with MY child.
Grifty@TheGriftReport

THIS IS HORIFFIC!! Paediatrician Earl Bradley raped and sexually abused 103 children, including babies as young as three months old, while their parents waited just outside the exam room. The Delaware doctor filmed himself carrying out the sickening attacks on hidden cameras. He would force the terrified children to perform sex acts on him, molest them repeatedly, and sometimes abuse the same child for months or even years. One victim was raped continuously from June 2007 to February 2009. Another was molested non-stop from November 2008 to November 2009. Over 13 hours of horrifying video evidence was later discovered. He has been jailed for 14 consecutive life sentences plus 165 years. This is one of the worst stories I've ever read

@BrandonBVarnell We've had an increase in series where the couple gets together by a s2 lately, or at least 3, and that's been nice. Dangers in my heart had a long stretch of post relationship content. Salute. We've also had more "get together at the beginning" like "polar opposites"

Interestingly enough, I also find most generic romcom protagonists boring. My issues were often that romcom protagonists never really seem to grow. They don't become more mature, better versions of themselves. They're very stagnant. This means you wind up getting the same joke used over and over again because the characters aren't moving forward. Another big issue with characters who don't change is that the romance never moves forward. You don't actually have the MC get into a relationship until the very end--and then it's over. There's no emotional payoff. I've complained about it, but I also realized that if I want something different, I just have to make it myself. That's why I began writing my own stories. Every protagonist is not only unique but undergoes great emotional growth. The romance also has good payoff early. Rather than stories about "will they or won't they get together," it's stories about the challenges they face while part of a relationship. Of course, I'm a harem fan, so I write stories where one guy ends up dating or marrying multiple women.

@TheChanMaki The problem with s1 isn't even Spe. It's failing to properly tell the story of the golden gen. Especially with Sky and Halo. Imagine getting that cathartic King halo win or the drama with sky's injuries. It didn't prioritize drama for side characters outside Suzuka.
