Here's a beautifully illustrated book from a European perspective about China written 400 years ago with mention of the island of Taiwan and its cultural roots with Fujian and the rest of China. It's called "Novus Atlas Sinensis" (New Atlas of China) and was written by the Italian cartographer Martino Martini.

Even the most basic supermarket items are security tagged in the UK. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this in Hong Kong or China. Can anyone fact check this for me?

Witnessed something incredible at the Amsterdam train station yesterday Fat and loud American tourist was trying to buy a water bottle for €4.50 Threw a €5 bill on the counter and started walking away ""Keep the change man" said in a typical annoying Californian accent "We don't do tips here. This isn't America" cashier responded The American tried to leave again but luckily security blocked the exit "You didn't get your receipt for tax purposes" "What?" Store manager appeared with a form "Did you attempt to give our cashier extra money?" "That's unreported income. He has to declare it now. Pay social contributions. It becomes €0.24 after tax" The American was baffled "Bro but in the US—" "In the US, workers beg for tips because they're underpaid. Here, we pay living wages" manager swiftly interrupted him They made him take his €0.50 back and quickly filed an incident report for "attempted tax circumvention" This is what a properly functioning society looks like

There is NO acceptable reason why a post by an account with 1000 followers reaches only 13 people. Even if the post sucks it should still reach 100-200 accounts and the people should get to decide if the post thrives or dies. The Algo is Broken.

This is legitimately JAW DROPPING. I’m stunned by this. Yesterday Chinese state censors cut off a famous Japanese singer mid-performance in Shanghai. They targeted this singer Maki Otsuki for humiliation purely because she was Japanese. They cut the stage lighting and music before two members of the stage crew forced her off stage. They then cancelled the second day of the two-day concert. This is part of the Chinese dictatorship’s month long unhinged meltdown at Japan. The new Japanese prime minister Sanae Takaichi said that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan would be a major security threat to Japan, so a Chinese diplomat in Japan threatened to cut off her head and Beijing launched a full struggle campaign against Japan. The Chinese hate campaign against Japan is now seriously reaching a Maoist Cultural Revolution tier fever pitch. There is now a drive by Chinese authorities to try humiliate and punish random Japanese people in China wherever they can. Just so barbaric and astonishing. Imagine if Trump responded to some comment by Keir Starmer by having ICE agents haul Ed Sheeran off stage in the middle of a stadium concert. Imagine the outrage. The entire world would be shocked. But China does this every day and nobody cares.

@zhao_dashuai CPC has been way too slow in destroying feminism ideology in China. This is a Western infiltration ideology to cause women to not marry and have kids.

Zhao DaShuai 东北进修🇨🇳 Commentary
Famous "feminist" Yang Li deletes her entire social media existence in China. This is the result of our government's announcement to fight against gender animosity and class division online. These new age "feminists" are influenced and often directly funded by western NGOs, their goal is to sow division and hatred between men and women. New age western feminism has nothing to do with gender equality, and everything to do with creating gender animosity to destroy a society. Some do it for the money, many do it for political reasons. Yang Li is especially egregious in her offenses. Lower class men are often the target of her jokes, corrupting young girls to only marry for money and not for love. In China, we do not tolerate western degeneracies, especially when the social cohesion is at stake.

Japan has repeatedly apologized for Imperial Japan’s past actions against China. When will the CCP apologize to the Chinese people instead of using Japan as a distraction for its atrocities?

🇨🇳 I found the rentable powerbanks in China One scan to pay with Alipay and then you take the battery and you return it later This would never work in US or Europe because people would just steal the powerbanks
Migue@MigueMorkin

@levelsio (Possibly already many people told you about this) Just in case, I strongly suggest just using Meituan network of chargers. You can pay them using your WeChat or Alipay account, and charge you by minutes consumed. Super convenient.
