He can't escape the pocket universe unless someone opens it on the other side or he miraculously knows how the controls work. And his established personality as timid and nervous indicates why he's not keen to take action immediately.

@DCUelective02 @KKanonball1 @El_Krypto_Arg @MatthewFerrari The irony of you talking about analyzing movies while ignoring basic physics is hilarious. If the container is 'sealed' enough to hold a gas-state Metamorpho, they'd suffocate in minutes. If there's an intake for oxygen, he's gone.

this doesn't really work with Snyder Superman because the lesson of Man of Steel is that it's okay for Superman to cause catastrophic damage and mostly ignore civilian casualities as long as he beats the bad guy

@Uncanny_Zenith @KKanonball1 @El_Krypto_Arg @MatthewFerrari My "heavy lifting" is basic logic here. Why would it matter if Metamorpho can turn into gas? Even if he could escape the air vents on the box, he's in a pocket universe with no knowledge on the controls, assuming there's any on the pocket dimension side.

That doesn't mean he would worry about them or think they're investigating him. Just being a journalist isn't enough...

Her just being a journalist isn't enough of a reason because by that logic, the entire daily planet would be under surveillance.

First you assume I said Terrific isn't human when I said "Lois is human" indicating Lex has zero reason to bother worrying about her since she publicly has no connection to anything Superman or Meta-related. Which he almost doesn't given how the JG choose to stay out of it.

Accounting for variables like Mr. Terrific and Lois isn't small stuff, it's Baseline. If his plan only works in a vacuum where nobody else is competent, he's not a mastermind, lol

So, he's operating entirely on the baseline stuff he's observed and assumed about him, rather than the years and years of history they usually have.

In the comics, Lex is a master of contingencies. This version just feels like he's winging it and hoping his 'intellect' carries the plot.

He assumed the simple threat of his child being captured would be enough because he fundamentally misunderstands human nature and people’s capacity to do what’s right. Again, because he himself can only focus on what benefits him.
