At the launch of Àmòtékùn, the Western NIGERIA Security Network. It’s a first step of supporting the existing security architecture within the 6 South West states. Long overdue, without security, there can be no economic development.

.@BenHundeyin @PoliceNG Police officers are now operating like kidnappers and bandits arresting innocent people and demanding ransom. I was arrested last night around 11pm while trying to get food at Ibafo, before Mowe. The DCO immediately seized my phones and threw me into the back of their Sienna. At that moment, I was genuinely scared because I thought I had been kidnapped. When we got to the station, I pleaded to contact my family, but he refused and ordered that I be locked in a cell with criminals, insisting that I was a criminal. After he left, one of the female officers quietly told me I was in serious trouble and advised me to quickly use her phone to contact my parents, which I did. I spent the entire night in the cell, my first time ever, completely shaken. By morning around 8am, they brought us out and started calling out amounts like N200k, N100k, basically placing prices on our freedom. The DCO falsely accused me of smoking and doing drugs on the street, which is completely untrue. I felt helpless until my mum arrived and started questioning them about why I was arrested. The officer still insisted we had to pay money for my release. She contacted my dad, and although the DCO initially refused to speak to anyone, my dad reached out to a senior officer at Elewe Eran. That officer then called the DCO at Ibafo station and ordered my immediate release. At that point, the DCO changed his story, claiming he didn’t conduct any raid and that he just saw me doing drugs on the street when he was driving by which was a blatant lie. The officer warned him He was clearly upset that I had connections to a higher-ranking officer and shocked that I was able to contact my family despite being held without my phone. I suffered that night. I was handcuffed, and one of the officers even punched me in the mouth. It was a terrible experience, my first time ever being detained. I left and felt pity for those that have no way

Foundational Nupe Lawyer
Foundational Nupe Lawyer@egi_nupe·
As a lawyer, if you do not dress well, drive good car, and live in good environment, Nigerians will never respect you enough to pay you well. In fact, if you locate your office in a place they do not consider "classy enough", you will be called all sorts of things. A client who was invited by the police once told me "let us go with your own car (a toyota camry muscle 2009 model) so the police will not think I have money" and I got home extremely sad. So if you like, keep charging and collecting 5,000 naira when others are billing well, the same people hailing you for collecting 5,000 naira will be the same people to mock you with your faded suits, wig and gown and poor car. You see the lawyers they tag "charge and bail" today, it is not because these lawyers, especially the real ones" are not good enough or do not deliver results. It is simply because they prefer to collect "small money" to get the jobs done and move on to another one. Even though many of them are not generally poor, but they are always dressed in old, dirty and torn suits, poorly laced shoes and regarded as symbol of poverty and suffering in legal profession. But you see highly successful lawyers, they know their worth, they place the value on it and add tax to it. Guess what? When important and really big briefs fetching good money come, they do not go to those lawyers they pay cheap money or chicken change to survive. They go to big names in the profession and offer them really good money without stress. So as a lawyer, the choice is yours to make, to either be a symbol of poverty and highly regarded professional.

This is a strong call on the relevant authorities to urgently look into the activities of this young foreigner, Alex Barbir, who has been moving around openly, spreading hate and attempting to incite violence against Nigerians of diverse backgrounds. The authorities should take swift and lawful steps to investigate, apprehend, where necessary and ensure accountability to safeguard peace, unity and public order.

Why are you guys blaming Enzo? Would you be happy to be in a club like Chelsea if you were a player? He has seen that the project is shit and he wants to leave, i can’t even fault him. I expect RJ, Caicedo, Cucu, Palmer and Estevao to follow suit. This club won’t help them

The only problem we have at Chelsea now is the fact that we don’t know how these owners move , any player wanting to leave shouldn’t be a problem but you can’t trust these guys to do a good job to replace any player . Enzo Fernandez just like any South American has a natural soft spot for Madrid or Barcelona. One day he will eventually leave , the questions, can these sporting directors replace him ? I don’t think so

Help me understand this. Enzo granted the first interview to ESPN Argentina where he was asked about a transfer. He said, "I don't know, we will see after the World Cup," when he should've shut it down with a comment like, "I'm focused on helping Chelsea finish the season as high as possible." He was confronted by Rosenior and he apologized to him and his teammates. The international break has arrived. In his first interview with TYC Sports, he was asked the same question, and he responded with the same answer he had previously apologized for: 'We will see after the World Cup.' With the Real Madrid rumors heating up, and considering that Real Madrid is his favorite destination and he would be open to that move this summer, he was asked where he would like to live. A player without any motive would have named 3-4 cities, but no, he specifically named Madrid, which aligns with the transfer rumors. How is that okay? How does that mean nothing? I love the guy as a player, but he comes across as selfish. I don't like that personality.

Some months ago, Saeed called out Nigerian Man United fans and got dragged for it. But after what a Nigerian Chelsea fan said to me yesterday, I finally understand why he made that call-out. This statement didn’t just end as football banter...it exposed a deeper mindset. And honestly, it made me understand why things are the way they are with us. . . #nigeria #chelsea #manchesterunited #saeed #chelseafans

Landlords are the weapon fashioned against us because, wetin be this?? “An agent took me to this house. I met with the landlord’s wife, as they claimed the landlord had travelled to Abuja. I paid a total package of 1.5 million naira. They gave me the keys, and I painted the apartment and moved in my belongings. However, I needed to perfect things at my office to seal my transfer to this new state. Only for me to get there yesterday and discover that the landlord had locked up the apartment. So I asked the wife for my money. She said she had already spent 700k out of it and would be paying me 100k every month. At this point, I don’t even know if I should laugh or cry. I just walked away and decided to hear from you before I know what to do. My belongings are still inside the apartment as we speak, and I have spent nothing less than 250k on painting and moving my things there. Please, I need your advice on what to do?”

The horrific multiple suicide bombings in Maiduguri have reportedly claimed the lives of 23 innocent people and left over 100 others injured. Boko Haram terrorists can choose to be anything but wallahi not Muslims. Inflicting terror on innocent people, especially during this sacred period of fasting, stands in complete contradiction to the values of mercy, peace and sanctity of life that Islam upholds.
