🧵This is another thread you will want to bookmark if you are interested in porphyry deposits in British Columbia. I have been working away in the background on putting together a fairly simple pitch on where an explorer (and an investor) should be looking for Porphyry Cu-Au deposits in British Columbia. The following thread will detail the different ages of mineralization, the different camps in British Columbia, and highlight where one should be looking to find the next monster deposit. Obviously I am threading in a pitch for Kingfisher as we will be starting a very exciting drill program in the near future and we are currently financing. Note that the data used in these tables and calculations is based on the USGS porphyry summary of porphyry prospectively for British Columbia (with some changes made for more recent updates to resources - using 43-101 technical reports). The favorable tracts are accurate in my opinion although they misclassify our Mary deposit (likely because they don't have the unpublished age dating for it). $kfr.v #copper #gold #porphyry

Kingfisher Metals Sees Hank Copper-Gold Porphyry Target Growing, Supported By New Geophysical Data youtu.be/8eLglX4NC3U?si… On April 2, 2026 Kingfisher Metals (TSX-V:KFR, OTC:KGFMF) announced that new and updated geophysical inversion datasets support a robust porphyry copper-gold target within the Hank Cu-Au discovery area. Results include a new Mobile MagnetoTellurics (MMT) and magnetic survey with inversions, newly compiled, leveled and merged airborne magnetic data, updated IP chargeability and direct current (DC) resistivity 3D inversions, along with new petrographic data from geological thin sections. These new and improved datasets provide Kingfisher with five additional data-layers integrated into a 3-dimensional targeting framework. Analysis of these datasets supports the scale and prospectivity of the porphyry Cu-Au discovery at Hank. I connected with Kingfisher CEO @DPGEO to dive into the new geophysical datasets and get a better understanding of how this summer's drilling season will unfold at HWY 37. $KFR.V @Kingfisher_KFR

@Kingfisher_KFR Hank Copper-Gold target keeps on getting better. This large porphyry Cu-Au target is backed by - a single blind discovery drill hole of 425m of 0.4% CuEq (twice the length and higher grade than the @GTGoldCorp discovery hole) - one of the strongest/largest gold soil geochem anomalies in BC - an overlying epithermal system with grades up to ~27m of 9 g/t Au - and now multiple geophysical datasets all pointing in the same direction. We have over $30m in the bank, an incredible technical team, and a deep pipeline of additional targets across the 1133km2 Golden Triangle landholding. There will be more targets announced in the near future leading up to announcing our full plans for the 2026 field program. Drilling will start in June, and Hank will be one of several priorities. $kfr.v I'd recommend using an AI tool to fully understand today's technical NR if you are not a geologist. We wrote the release with that in mind: kingfishermetals.com/multiple-geoph…

@SteveSaretsky The best part is that the mayor of Squamish recently bankrupted his other business. That business: a mountain bike shop in the strongest mountain bike market on earth. Squamish council is about as dumb as you can make them. It’s like they are cosplaying as the NDP.

Great way to beat the jet lag before the SMI in Zurich. @SimonDyakowski and I hired a guide and skied the Valle Blanche from 3842m down to Chamonix.

@FjordPhil There was a bit of placer gold in the GT but mostly in the Cariboo, Fraser, and Atlin areas.

Didn't BC have several major placer gold rushes? Crazy chart. The premise is a bit odd too — as you point out, drilling in the Abitibi (or any old area) is orders of magnitude more intensive than gold exploration in BC. If you're actually looking for a new camp/district, where are you more likely to find one: in an area drilled like Swiss cheese, or somewhere that's seen a fraction of that attention?

@YellowLabLife Staking moratorium there as of June too. It’s one of the most sensitive areas (culturally and environmentally) identified in their land use management plan. Good example of the nuances to regional politics that get overlooked by most.

If this is true, then most aren't bullish enough on the Canadian 🇨🇦 mining sector 👇 PDAC: Canada will be G20’s quickest on mining permits, Natural Resources Minister vows Canada will lead Group of 20 nations with the fastest permits as the government’s Major Projects Office (MPO) advances projects to production within two years, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson said in an interview. The government is pushing five projects valued in the billions of dollars, from copper in British Columbia to tungsten in New Brunswick, as part of the special office announced last year to co-ordinate provincial and federal permits. “From the time the project is referred to the MPO, you’ll get a conditions document within two years,” Hodgson told The Northern Miner on Tuesday as the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada convention in Toronto wound down. “That’ll be the best in the G20.”

@TheStockSurgeon @zerohedge Couldn’t be further from the truth. A lack of geologists will be one of the major limiting factors going forward. (We use AI for exploration too but it’s just another tool).

Ha, fair point - but even mining is not totally safe from this wave, no? AI is already being used to optimise drilling patterns, predict equipment failures, and map ore deposits faster than any geologist could - the physical digging still needs humans, sure, but the high margin brain work sitting behind it is very much on the table, right?
