Here are 11 minorities larger than jews that do not have a homeland: 1. Tamils (~70–80 million) – Primarily in India (Tamil Nadu) and Sri Lanka; no independent Tamil state. 2. Oromo (~40–45 million) – Mainly in Ethiopia and Kenya. 3. Kurds (~30–45 million) – Spread across Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria (often called the largest stateless nation). 4. Yoruba (~35–45 million) – Nigeria, Benin, Togo, etc. 5. Igbo (~30–40 million) – Primarily Nigeria. 6. Pashtuns (Pathans) (~30–50 million) – Afghanistan and Pakistan. 7. Sikhs (~25–30 million) – Mainly Punjab region of India (Khalistan advocacy exists but no state). 8. Amazigh (Berbers) (~20–40 million, depending on inclusion) – North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, etc.). 9. Uyghurs (~11–15 million, with some higher estimates) – Xinjiang, China. 10. This poll really set the cat among the pigeons. As I said before, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is popular among Muslims because it defeated the Americans and Nato and is trying to implement Shari'ah law. And before you ask, the female education issue does not negate the above in the eyes of most Muslims.

likewise, Pakistanis shouldn't do what they accuse Afghan ethnonationalists of, that is, social engineering of ethnic conflicts, in this case, fetishizing an idealized Tajik (or Uzbek, etc) over the "Afghan-Pashtun nemesis". These ethnic games always signal a weak strategy.
