Had a great morning recently photographing a showy water rail in the col conditions - not usually easy and still quite frantic even when showing well! @Natures_Voice @WildlifeMag @BBCEarth @BBCSpringwatch

As always I'm behind with my editing but here's a little set of sand lizards, take back at the end of May - what stunning creatures the males are at that time of year! @BBCEarth @BBCSpringwatch @WildlifeMag

The waxwing winter continues! Even with this many birds in the country it's tricky getting a good photo - you need the right berries, background and conditions. Wonderful seeing so many though - everyone should make the most of it :)

I’ve just seen 10+ waxwing flying lowish over Hitchin in the direction of this crudely drawn arrow! Worth checking berry bushes for anyone in that direction! @Hertsbirds
