A small painting every dodger game. Included a Red Bull once again for Vesia. A childhood game of mine was called “luksong baka” and the goal was to jump over a person who was “the cow” I was bad at jumping so I was always the cow. This painting kind of reminded me of that.

Peewee Reese told Jackie Robinson that he wanted his family to know who he was. Well, despite is diminutive nickname, Peewee Reese was a BIG man!

Twitter sadly can bring out the worst in people & society.
I have deep respect for those that wear a uniform to serve our community & country; be it Metro staff or Nat’l Guard.
Opine on politics or hate on me 🤷 but pls be nice to public servants who are just doing their jobs

Late night check in & appreciate how our @wmata team & @DCGuard1802 have built a positive relationship during their shifts. Our station manager was so happy to get a challenge coin from General Blanchard who was out personally checking in on his team. People supporting people.

@Plugspark @ajlamesa Like I said. Federal/State/City collaboration is best for sure. Hopefully more is done by all citizens/businesses and gov officials at all levels to improve things. Maybe not an emergency but there is always room to improve and we should never accept just ‘ok’

It's a shame that people are attacking Randy Clarke over this post. Donald Trump deployed the National Guard to DC and they're not going away -- Clarke has to make the best of the situation. And, obviously, having them in metro stations is a deterrent to both crime and terrorism.

@Plugspark @ajlamesa Why cherry-pick though? Try to ignore the politics and who signed the order. I believe we should try all sorts of strategies and policies to improve our cities. Federal/State/City collaboration is best! Also worth noting DC Police & Metro PD are understaffed.

@Daniel_Rank67 @ajlamesa Ok, but that's not a national police force and not what Nat'l Guard trains for or is made for. If you're saying EU countries with nat'l police have better stats, we should start with their policies on crime and social matters in general first as those will have much more impact

@kevsaucebro @wmataGM What about admin issues that cause crime? Federal agencies have supported local law enforcement since our founding. This isn't necessarily new. I would agree with your 2nd point, but it's a fact that major Euro cities have significantly better crime stats than ours.

@Daniel_Rank67 @wmataGM Administrative issues are not an excuse to militarize communities during peacetime, otherwise any administration could find some administrative excuse to inject the military into anything it wanted.
We should not do what Europeans do, we’re supposed to be better than Europe.

@Plugspark @ajlamesa Sorta true, we have had federal agencies assist local law enforcement since our founding. And other countries, especially in Europe, certainly have better crime stats in their major cities.

@kevsaucebro @wmataGM Worth noting DC Police and Metro PD are understaffed. And many European countries deploy a Guard equivalent in their major cities, especially after terrorist attacks. Presence and deterrence matters.

@wmataGM The military has no role in policing the people during peacetime. That’s a value so fundamental to the American constitutional tradition, it’s centuries older than the American nation itself.
No one’s asking you to disrespect these men. Just don’t normalize their presence.

@imperfecttl Soccer holdings is holding some massive equity with racing. They paid less than 2 million for a franchise and now new ones are over 100 million

Soccer Holdings is trying to make the Lynn Family Stadium area a year round attraction with a new arena for pro hockey & volleyball by 2028. I believe that Racing Louisville FC could be sold & relocated. Racing is not profitable & has had declining attendance since inception.
