@Plugspark @MrB1080 @PenguinSix Her powers are limited. You are right about the adult crimes, but they are almost nonexistent in D.C. now. The crimes we see now mostly involve juveniles. Shapiro can't do anything about juveniles.

@TLogic13 @MrB1080 @PenguinSix Trump/fed. appointee Jeanine Pirro is the US attorney AND local DC DA for all serious crimes in DC, not the council. The locally-elected AG office (Brian Schwalb) doesn’t handle serious crimes and prosecutes 93% of cases his office gets that aren’t traffic or civil litigation.

@MrB1080 @PenguinSix I don't know how Trump could have fixed the no-bail policies and the liberal D.C. Council that releases every violent criminal in DC.

@FeverPotomac @kevsaucebro How dumb are you? People can and do utilize all methods of transportation. I live in DC and own a car, but advocate primarily for (and primarily use) public transit/bike/walk at the expense of car-brained policy. But I also have to use a car to get to work

For the people that don’t know this is a competition. somebody at the other end of the parking lot with a receiver can hear over the two that are keyed down their mics whoever the other guy can hear and wins the competition. I called a key down competition. The whole back half of the vehicle is filled with a CB radio Equipment amplifying the wattage called linears. If you were to see underneath the engine, some of these guys have four or five maybe even six alternators and some engines range up to five 750 hp engines sometimes even with nitrous to peak the massive wattage coming out of the antenna.

@Charlie_Reports Wagering most are LE. But high level administration and technical jobs will actually require that kind of number for highly competent and highly-skilled people. You’re competing for talent with many more affluent/larger areas, nothing you can really do about it.

Forty employees of Erie County made over $200,000 last year, according to some initial research I have been doing. 40. Seems like a lot. What do you think? Is this something you would like to know more about? Just trying to see what people are interested in.

@BasilJ60776 @Zoya_ki_batein I’m trying to describe how I feel when I look at these two bartenders. Bc it’s a phenotype at the intersection of performative maleness and a certain globalist feng shui that I absolutely detest. But detest isn’t even the right word. It’s like a violent disgust I feel for it.

You’re a creepy hack, probably with a weird furry fetish you hide. Your idea of a “crash out” looks like a PR person defending a company and employee to normal people. You chose to spend your day attacking someone who saved $11,000 in taxes because your life is so meaningless and inconsequential it’s the best you could do. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Most deliveries don’t end at the @WhiteHouse. This one did! Sharon, a Dasher and grandma from Arkansas, made the delivery to @POTUS and shared her thanks for No Tax on Tips — helping millions keep more of what they earn. “the number of police or national guard has no actual affect on the crime rate” Really?
Lee "Scratch" Peri-Peri@Plugspark

@ajlamesa it's a shame that people excuse the normalization of this and don't know a single thing about the crime rate in DC and how the number of police or national guard has no actual affect on the crime rate

It's a shame that people are attacking Randy Clarke over this post. Donald Trump deployed the National Guard to DC and they're not going away -- Clarke has to make the best of the situation. And, obviously, having them in metro stations is a deterrent to both crime and terrorism.
Randy Clarke@wmataGM

Late night check in & appreciate how our @wmata team & @DCGuard1802 have built a positive relationship during their shifts. Our station manager was so happy to get a challenge coin from General Blanchard who was out personally checking in on his team. People supporting people.

@Plugspark @SunshinePoetry_ @toddmh1969 @BuffaloBills @HighmarkStadm Caregivers? it’s not a babysitting room. If you can’t differentiate between a handicap ramp and a sensory room, i’m not going to try to explain it to you. Should there be seating sections for every food allergy? Or a separate jumbotron for the colorblind? Logic≠hate.

@maustermuhle But Uber and Lyft already did the race to the bottom for driver pay. Empower drivers make 30% more per ride than uber and Lyft, so it’s not a race to the bottom for them. I realize the comm insur. problem, but from a driver perspective it shows that drivers get screwed by duopoly

The issue with this approach is that it can end up in a race to the bottom. If all you're chasing is the lowest price, then yes, absolutely no regulation is great. But it's often true that at some point an unlucky person will learn what no regulations can really mean.

Well, it's a little more complicated than that. Current D.C. law requires ride-hailing services to follow some basic rules, including offering commercial liability insurance. Empower doesn't, and has been fighting with regulators in D.C. (and now NYC) for years.
Olivia Beavers@Olivia_Beavers

Update for all the beltway peeps who use the ride-share app Empower. A Service Alert pops up if you are attempting to call a ride, saying Mayor Bowser has banned paid rides on it

@CantEverDie @McLagy why shouldn't I want the music press to write about other deserving bands? the attention in print/online music publications is a zero-sum game, and these bands are using PR in new/sophisticated/corporate-style ways that shut out other bands with just as much/more talent

@Plugspark @McLagy this is a very weird way to think about music imo. why are you holding 2000s press decisions over a band 20 years later
