There are a lot of nutty leftist takes out there but I find the rise of explicit amoral familism — overt arguments that the richest and most powerful people ought to behave more selfishly — to be really distressing and at odds with almost all of traditional western thought.

Unpopular opinion: the Minister of Finance should always be an economist. You need someone with some kind of graduate training in the field (i.e., MSc or PhD) and with some experience outside academia.
If you cannot read research papers and at least understand the gist of them, you're not going to be asking intelligent questions to your staff and you cannot provide sensible policy advice, except perhaps by accident.
Actually, most of your cabinet should be trained in relevant technical fields. Staffing the government with lawyers whose main ability is verbally weasling their way out of explaining their own moronic decisions is wildly suboptimal.

I’m no fan of many of the Liberal cabinet ministers nominated under Trudeau who are still there, but my God, just on the economic front there is nobody, and I mean NOBODY in the CPC ranks. Just look at who the CPC shadow Finance Minister is.

the tennessee situation is materially different from VA. It’s really grotesque spent most of the pod on it today. The state can barely be described as a democracy at this point i can understand why people
would be demoralized. That said, is it worse than Hungary which just defeated an authoritarian without mass violence? I don’t believe so. There are a lot of great people (jones, pearson, TN Holler) doing revolutionary organizing there without suggesting the answer may be violence. If anything violence there would probably empower the authoritarians elsewhere.

Do not think people should consider violence over virginia gerrymandering rulings. There are plenty of other remedies. In fact, Democrats are likely to win 8 seats out of 11 and control the house of representatives.

the va supreme court denied the results of the redistricting referendum. scotus gutted the voting rights act and tennessee carved up the last dem district destroying black voter power in the state. those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable

It doesn’t need to be written. Because like I’ve been saying, it’s inherently baked into the rights of a people to national self-determination, as in:
“States have a right to exist, as decided not by the state itself, but solely by the people who deem it necessary for their right to national self-determination.”
Besides, a right to exist doesn’t mean a state must exist. If the rightfully self-determined Palestinian people one day decide they don’t want a state, then a state doesn’t have to exist, but they inherently still have the right for a state to exist for their self-determination should they ever decide as such.

Actually the UK doesn’t have a right to exist. Otherwise why would Scots have been able to have an independence referendum to break up the UK?
Countries split up, and recognize, and disappear and reappear all the time. Czechoslovakia. Apartheid South Africa and Rhodesia. Etc.
