The safest thing to say is nobody outside the administration knows quite what's going on with Iran at the moment One hallmark of the Trump administration is behind-the-scenes communication before announcements are made so I assume that the Iranians ARE in negotiation with Team Trump at present Team Trump has earned my trust so rather than being an emotional know-nothing expert, I will wait and see what comes out of this weekend. It's a messy process but I believe the world is being made into a better place 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Everyone else is free to misunderstand and jump to wild conclusions

The Nasdaq finally broke its Darvas Box to the downside and joins the $SPX $IWM $HYG $COMPQ in confirmed Daravs Box downtrends 📉 Major markets are negative so most trading/401k $$ should likely be in cash, and if you're aggressive then Shorts might be appropriate as well If you're Long in strong sectors (Energy/Opticals etc) then you should good cost-basis so there is no danger of losing capital That's the playbook, now take a vacation until new opportunities/signals emerge $STUDY

Great post Ted! The biggest question mark is how have $SPX EPS forecasts changed the last two weeks? Forward PE is only as good as its forecasts Before I lost my source for $SPX data (he retired) the last spreadsheet showed the following. If the forecasts held up then at 6505 SPX we're looking at a 21-24 Forward/Trailing PE. A tad high but not crazy In fact could argue that this selloff is bring Valuations back under control and out of Bubble ranges that inflated due to AI. In time this will lead to a healthier market AI could probably re-create this easily; just need a reliable source for forecasts. DM me if you want to chat about this more Depending on forecasts I'd argue that 6000-6200 $SPX is a great Value spot for the market

Just some perspective. Previous major corrections and bear markets and their forward P/E ratios (bad bears hit 10-13x while many hit 13-15x forward P/E). Forward P/E of 18 is the average, by the way. Just like how the pendulum can swing farther on the upside than anyone thinks, the same goes for the downside. Below are tables of previous corrections/bear markets:

For those crying about the bad market, people had PLENTY of time to get positioned for downside related to Iran etc 401k's had plenty of signals to go to cash etc The only people who should be getting hurt are those who used risk-trading $$. Even then if you managed properly then the only $$ you're losing is paper-profits (like me) If core capital is being lost then that's on you and you should stop asap. Pro tip: paper profits only become core capital when you sell $STUDY
