Hoey and Kessler could make either/both 800 and 1500 teams. I will always maintain that the 400/800 runner nonsense got started in the 90s with the advent of EPO. EPO provided the endurance that allowed solid 400 runners to extend to the 800. Absent a PED like that, the two events are simply too different. Outside of Juantorena (who is from an eastern block country at the height of the untested steroid era), you can’t find anyone who medals or sets records equally at both 400 and 800 like you do at 800 and 1500. I love the return of the Snell/Ryun/Coe/Ovett/Cram model.

Great visual for athletes & coaches. It took 5 years for Nickisha to have another significant improvement. It's more than just X’s & O’s that go into progression An improve 1% every year is not realistic & shouldn't be a metric to judge progress in performance.

Broken 200 hurdle workout. First 2 hurdles at normal spacing for the 300H. Turn around & go over 5h at 20m spacing. We did 4 reps with 3min rest

There are parents out there that need to let the coaches do their job. Yes there are some coaches that might not know it all. But that the same issue with these parents who they think they know it all. That why most of the kids are not getting any better.
