@vfarcic @ariga_io @DevopsToolkit @kubernetesio sir, where can i find your video course of 'Catalog, Patterns, And Blueprints' ? udemy says it's not available anymore
English

Database schema management in Kubernetes has been limited to SchemaHero which, frankly, is not a very good solution. Now we, finally, have an alternative.

@aescanero @vfarcic You might want to try Chsinguard images.

@vfarcic @DevopsToolkit Alpine give me a lot of headaches with Java in the pass. In Java case I prefer to use ubi9.

Please stop using Debian, Ubuntu, and other similar Linux distributions as your base container (Docker) images. Containers are NOT VMs.

Kubernetes is NOT only about containers. It is a control plane for everything, including VMs. In this video, I will show you how to use @kubevirt to manage VMs in the same way you manage containers.

@_ediri @vfarcic @solidnerd @kubernetesio @datreeio Admission controllers are the way to go, but they have one huge issue. They can validate only one resource at a time. That means than we cannot make policies that take the whole context.
English

@vfarcic @solidnerd @kubernetesio @datreeio @DevopsToolkit Nice! I hope the Trivy Operator will support Admission controllers too!
English

Datree recently added the support for @kubernetesio admission controllers!

@vfarcic @DevopsToolkit As usual good video. Let's see how it gets adopted, but also fair to say Ingress and Service objects are not going away anytime soon gateway-api.sigs.k8s.io/faq/ 🤪
English

If you have an emotional attachment to Ingress and service mesh specs, start the grieving process now. Gateway API is coming and it will replace them.

@vfarcic @DevopsToolkit @kubernetesio This looks interesting but have you tried sealed secrets or external secrets (external-secrets.io/v0.5.8/)?
English

"Kubernetes secrets are not secure enough!" If that's true, maybe we should get rid of them altogether.
Can we do that? Can we live without Kubernetes secrets?
Is Secrets Store CSI Driver the solution?

@justinellis18 @vfarcic @HelmPack @kptdev @kubernetesio I think it's not that much about it being easier but being able to do in-place transformations so that the resulting manifests are pure yaml instead of overlays on top of overlays. Now, how useful that is is a different question.
English

@vfarcic @HelmPack @kptdev @kubernetesio @DevopsToolkit I know kpt has more functionality but the stuff in the video is easier with kustomize. I think I like kustomize with custom transforms better.
English

Can we get rid of @HelmPack templates and #Kustomize overlays and go for "pure" YAML?
