Just a reminder that for creedal Christians God did not suffer on the Cross. God can’t suffer. God can’t have a body. That was just human Jesus suffering on the cross.
God literally can’t change or take on a body because God must be transcendent.
And calling this “the mystery of the hypostatic union” does not solve the problem.

@walmatt24601 @ThoughtfulSaint Hypostatic union. The being of god does not have a human body. Only the person of the son took on an additional nature. Not changing the divine nature or adding to the divine nature in any way.

Not sure why this is complex. The Holy Trinity is three forms of God in One. God is The Father & creator of this reality, Jesus is The Son who walked into this reality, and The Holy Spirit is the One who connects us back to God. I know some people may disagree though this is how I see it.
