@royalsclubhouse You have lost any credibility you could’ve had by thinking Ragans is getting dealt.

I think one of Bubic or Ragans is 100% getting traded for a bat this winter. Thanks to JJ being willing to trade from a position of strength (catchers), we now have plenty of pitching depth. Now you flip one of those for the bat you need and still have pitching depth.

Grichuk swings hard and hits the ball really hard. For a blocked reliever in AAA, it’s a good upgrade for an outfield that doesn’t have a league average bat. #Royals

In the end, the #Royals didn’t have to trade Lugo. And they weren’t going to trade him just to trade him. The return had to be big. If the return wasn’t big enough, this is what they could pivot to. Feels like the right amount of years and money. A true win/win.
