This is shocking.
David’s wife was too ill to travel to Dignitas on a commercial flight, so they were forced to hire a private air ambulance.
This cost them £20,000.
By refusing to legalise assisted dying, our elected officials are turning their backs on dying Brits.

Palliative care works for the vast majority of people approaching the end of life, and has been proven to work alongside assisted dying all over the world. But there is a small but significant minority of people who still face a painful death. These people should have choice.

@scottishphil83 Sadly I have seen this. But it’s not about what we see as clinicians, or what we want. It’s about giving patients a choice - they don’t currently have one. I think they should but that requires us to acknowledge we cannot give everyone the death they want and deserve atm
