Wendy Mitchell held strong beliefs that people should have the right to choose their own death and campaigned for #AssistedDying laws in Britain. In the end, Wendy chose to die by Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED). What a travesty. 👇🏾theguardian.com/society/2024/f…

@HelenWebberley The OCP is analogous to mutilation of bodies? You really are bonkers and dangerous. 'First do no harm'.

In the 1960s, a remarkable revolution took place that changed the course of women's health and empowerment forever. It was the era when women were first offered the opportunity to take oral contraception, a breakthrough that allowed us to take control of our reproductive cycle. With the simple act of taking a pill, we could regulate our fertility and make choices about our bodies and lives. 💊🌼 This pivotal moment in the history of medicine underscores a profound truth: Throughout the annals of medical science, we have continually explored and harnessed the power of hormones. Whether it's for contraception, menopausal care, or transgender care, the manipulation and balancing of hormones have been integral to advancing healthcare. The journey of hormones in medicine is a testament to our commitment to improving lives and ensuring that people have the autonomy to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. It's a journey that transcends gender, age, and identity, touching the lives of countless people around the world. In every chapter of this journey, we see the resilience of the human spirit and the unwavering pursuit of equality. We see the dedication of healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to provide care and support. We see the courage of individuals who navigate their own unique paths toward health and happiness. As we reflect on this history, it's important to celebrate our progress while acknowledging the work that still lies ahead. I'm determined to champion accessible and compassionate healthcare for all, recognising that medicine has the power to transform lives and break down barriers. Whether you've personally experienced the impact of hormone-related healthcare or have been part of the journey in some way, your story matters. Please join the conversation and share your insights, as we strive to create a world where healthcare is inclusive, empowering, and responsive to the diverse needs of everyone.

I am not transphobic. But I am concerned about the alarming inc in gender dysphoria, particularly in kids. I oppose using puberty blockers & gender realignment surgery in vulnerable young adults (see Tavistock Scandal). Referring me to the @gmcuk is punishing me for my beliefs.

My biggest problem with the UKFPO allocation debate is that inherent reasoning is that 1 place is better than another. I work in a fairly unfashionable hospital, half an hour from the capital city.

@LostmattM @WalesOnline Yes - Netherlands, Switzerland, states in the USA, territories of Australia, Canada etc. They all have various laws allowing an Assisted Dying for people who are terminally ill or incurably suffering. Wales, and the rest of the UK, need a compassionate law too @MDMDmydecision

@WalesOnline In Netherlands and Switzerland i think 🤔, assisted suicide is allowed for terminally ill patients. If i could i would gather some money for this guy to help him get there. Also i read about capsule/cabin that allows you to do it yourself, no one to blame but dying patient.
