A privilege to attend the @StephenPerse Senior & Sixth Form carol service at @GreatStMarys in Cambridge today. As well as an enjoyable festive occasion it was a delight to witness the remarkable talents of three choirs, echoing effortlessly but charmingly around the church. 🎄

Received some great news, following attending a selection board, I have been appointed from 1 Dec 25 to new role as Deputy National Training Officer HQ Regional Command as Lt Colonel, really excited at the opportunity to help develop the Cadet Experience to a wider audience

A special and superb evening at @StPaulsLondon for the annual Evensong and Service of Thanksgiving for members of the Order of the British Empire. Also nice to meet @sally0range in the congregation and speak to other members of the order to hear their inspirational stories.

Back up to London today for some PFM Awards judging. Reflecting over a cappuccino (from the marvellous station buffet) on the peace of a country railway station at one end and the vibe of the big smoke at the other. Rather glad I no longer have to do this five days a week!

Absolutely superb to grab a wet (brew) with my good mate @HQC_East_RTO whilst I was up in Notts/Leic way on business. It was a good chance to pull up a sandbag/swing the lamp, but moreover congratulate him on his very well deserved MBE a few weeks ago. Top bloke!

Very much thinking about the 7 July attacks in London 20 years ago today. Clearly a horrid day for those involved & the first responders, but we also saw the best of our capital city. Grateful no colleagues were seriously hurt. Thoughts are with those who died & their relatives.
